- loiscalled the other day, answered, told him iwasn't interested. Called again today-no answer
- SebastianoYup, calls and noone there. shrug
- mrskimmyI guess they are up to it again, I refuse to answer a phone call unless I know who it is
- KayHad a call from here few days again I didn't answer
- arniec| 3 repliesIt is from Fidelity. They just want to know if you received your proxy
statement for funds you own. I had to say hello twice before I received a reply. It is entirely inoccuous. Pick up the phone and reply.- Caller: Fidelity Mutual Fund Co.
- karateladycall every few days - after reading this, will not answer. We need blocks on our phones to stop us from running to answer the phone and tripping over the dog - lol.
- Caller: Fidelity
- Kenafter saying hello several times a human began speaking - obviously calls are being placed by an auto-dialer - that alone makes me suspicious. If it is Fidelity and they really want to contact me as a customer they could at least pay somebody to actually call me.
- KristaI answered the other day. They asked if I received my proxy vote in the mail which I did. Then they explain that the board WANTS ME TO VOTE FOR xyz. So maybe different people are paying this service to solicit different answers for our proxy votes on the phone.
Very annoying that they are doing this. And I'm most annoyed that they have my phone #. NO ONE has my home phone # so I have no idea how the heck they got it.- Caller: Fidelity
- Kristawanted to add they keep calling me after I s/w a real live person and no one talks when I answer. they must be getting paid per call.
- Caller: Fidelity
- namemustbeunkownhey i had these people call me like 8 times and then the last then called i picked it up - me saying this " hello???" no reply the "click click" they hung up on me my gender is a girl but i said it in a deep man voice and they hung up on me i want these people to stop calling! very funny karatelady and good idea!! i wish they have invented that!
- joeyoe| 1 replyThe call is about mutual fund shareholder proxy votes. They got my home number from my employer, who has Fidelity managing out 401K funds. I had ignored the snail mail they sent, so they were calling to pester me to submit my proxy vote online. So I did. Hopefully the calls will stop now.
- Caller: Fidelity
- lukevery creepy, called about fidelity, but fidelity has a specific caller that sais "fidelity" on caller id. anyone get the same thing?
- Caller: none
- TaraI wasn't home when this number called, but on my answering machine it sounded like a recording of a phone ringing. Like what you hear when you are calling someone on the phone. I do have Fidelity, so that could make sense, since I did just get a proxy packet in the mail.
@Krista - generally speaking, all proxy packets sent to shareholders will include the Board of Directors recommendations. That is there so people who don't closely follow what is going on can just go with what the BoD recommends instead of not voting at all. They often need to have a certain % of people vote, so this helps with that. - WLSLCYes...I'm sure it's from Fidelity...I've received the mailing about it but haven't voted...will go do that online just to get rid of the calls!
- BobFidelity is a investment company that is having a vote who is going to run things. It take a proxy vote from its shareholders. I f you dont have an account with Fidelity I don't know why they would call.
- Caller: Fidelity Investments
- Call type: Event reminder
- mikey gFrom Fidelity, about a proxy vote for a position in my portfolio.
