This is really a scam.  I first got suspicious when they called on a Saturday to set up the interview for tomorrow (Tuesday) .  The day before the interview I get a call from a different person calling from the same place.  When I advised her that I already had an interview she wanted to know who called me and when and something just didnt seem right so I looked up the company and I saw all of these comments.  I am soooooo glad I did not waste my time. Oh yeah and I was to enter in the back door of 3050 whitestone expressway!!!!

I received a phone call today from this exact number. I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize. My logic is, if its important they will leave a message.
I'm wondering how this company obtains numbers, maybe they saw it listed on careerbuilder etc.
What made me think the number was really peculiar is the 888 in the middle.

I got a call today from this number. I didn't pick it up and they didn't leave a message. Since I didn't recognize the number, I looked it up and found these comments.

Someone calling from "HR" left a message saying they pulled my resume off of Monster and to call the # back if I was interested..they never stated a company name...

Wow I felt like this was crap! Thts why I googled the number....and I got this! So I guess I better not waste time with it. Thanks guys!

I received a call once again from this number and this time I picked up the phone. The woman claimed to be names Maureen and working for the Child Safe program. Its possible she got my information from a recent event at my local library. The HUGE red flag to this phone call was that "Maureen" wanted my address so that she could drop off my Child Safe kit to me. I asked for a call-back number and got a totally different telephone #. I have sent an e-mail off to the actual Child Safe organization regarding this. Whatever is going on, its quite a big scam.

Got a call from "Raquel" about my "resume" from this number. I know I never applied to a firm called "National Life." I think they are taking numbers from Monster.com etc. :((

I got a call after business hours from The Pappas Group.  The man said there were a benefits company helping unions around the world.  He said he found my resume on Monster, and then proceeded to ask me what my last job was and if I was still working (clearly on my resume if it had been read).  Then he asks if I am interested in a management position, and if I could come in for an interview tomorrow (Saturday).  I told him this wasn't a good fit, and he thanked me for being honest.  I'm glad I didn't go forward, but I would have figured out the scam anyway.  Who calls after business hours and schedules a Saturday meeting?  Plus if you read the resume, you wouldn't be asking me my job status and where I worked.

I received a call yesterday from 718-888-9862 - saying, they saw my resume on CareerBuilder.
Was told, the company is "National Income Life" (NILICO), related to "Torchmark" Assurance Co. in upstate NY.  Said they wanted to interview me for a "management position" and asked if I had any experience in managing others.  I said "no", to see their response, however, they still wanted to interview - on Wednesday, or  Saturday.  I was hesitant, as I wanted time to look into the company, so they said they can do Tuesday of next week.  Said they would phone me before the interview. -- When I asked if the job was related to selling "door to door" or over the phone -- I was only told that the job would be in the office at a desk.  No other details about the job were given.  location:  30-50 Whitestone Expressway, 2nd floor - 201, zip code 11354.

They called me asking if I'd ever managed someone, also. In this economy, with people so keenly needing jobs, it really ticks me off that there are scammers out there messing with us. These losers have to be stopped.

Caller left 1/2 a msg.  Only thing I caught was something about them being from Human Resources.  I suppose if you're going to run a good scam you should probably finish delivering your message first!  Thanks for posting y'all.

I think most of the people here, has their resume on Monster, since I updated last month, I have received several calls from this Number also from 4439378989, I'm going to remove my resume from Monster right away...

Thank you everyone for posting, felt this was a scam now I'm sure. Said they got my resume from career builder taking it off right now.

got a message from pappas group.  lots of phone chatter in the background.  looks like a phone scam.

It was clearly a scam. I was on the street and said that I would call back in 5 mins. The woman was impatient to hear that. And when I called back, they just hung up after hearing my name. What a annoying phone call.

Called at 5pm stated they were from national income, human resources, very forced phony sounding puhlease... i am only posted on careerbuilder

Got a call at 6:30 pm with the number 718 888 9862 from some guy stating he saw my resume on career builder.  Because I was in a loud venue, I couldn't hear him, so I asked for his name and number and told him I'd call him back - I barely got his name but I did notice that the number he gave me was totally different from the number on my caller ID.

I felt weird about this call so I decided to go check my resume on Careerbuilder:
a) It indicated that NOBODY checked my resume on careerbuilder
b) your phone numbers on your resume are NOT visible to employers (it says right there).

I still deleted my resume; but, it only means that this guy didn't get my number from Careerbuilder - then where???

this is bullsh**t! How dare someone play on people this way that are looking to make a legit living!
