The call is from Ford Credit.  Call and hangup.

They called me today regarding a family member, because I was a "reference" for her. I'm assuming she's behind payment - I would prefer they didn't contact me as it's not my debt, nor did I give anyone permission to be their "reference".

It is ford credit, they called asking for some guy I didn't know, than hassled me asking all kinds of information.  I repeatedly told them they had the wrong number and eventually had to hang up because this individual got upset because I didn't give him any information.

Ford credit asking me about a family member. Said they can't get a hold of them. I said that's because they don't want to talk to you, goodbye.

Left me a message; same as the others above.  Did not say it was Ford but stated they needed to get a hold of my brother and that I was a reference.

He must not be paying his car payment.

Definitely Ford Credit!  Don't they realize that it's tax return time and that in roughly 2 weeks not only everyone will be current, if not WAY ahead on payments.  Debt collectors CAN be a terible lot, but of the experiencea I've had, Ford are an inderstnading bunch and willing fo work WITH YOU AND MAKE THINGS WORK FOR YOU!!!  I would definitely finance with them again... that is, when I'm done paying for my current vehicle, the 2007 Ford Mustang, aka the first year they remodeled it to look like it's vintage parent (granparents?).  Best car I've had soo far, and the finance company isn't so harassing as some... like for instance MACY'S.  Now... the people at Macy's credit should never be alouded to sleep or take relaxing deep breaths.  They are the HEINOUS, RUTHLESS SHREWS of the credit world who should be denied EVERYTIME they swipe a card, no matter how good their credit is.  Comparing:  For Credit is to Mother Teresa, as Macy's Credit is to Pol Pot.... this is the truth!

doesn't it sound fishy that most people on here got a call about a sibling in which no one new they were a reference.  And when does a reference get a call to be a middle man.

These people are pathetic........................ Ford Credit, the most annoying way to lease a vehicle.  Never seen anything like it......  They will call you everyday except Sunday, all day long...... I suggest you block them before they even start.

I didn't recognize the number so I let it roll. They say they need to get in contact with a co-worker b4 10 tonight. REALLY???  Unbelievable.  I haven't seen that person in over a year.

Called, have never had any dealings with Ford Motor Credit and I've never owned a Ford. I paid off my current vehicle (NOT a Ford) when I got it lol, so I let it go to the machine.  They didn't leave a message, which makes me think this number is SPOOFED.  The second they call again and don't leave a message about why they're calling, I'm reporting them to the DNC.

Called late last night said I was a reference for my sister in laws sister..... probably not since we see each other once or twice a year! Pretty sure it's a scam!

This Company calls my job ( not for me ) constantly , trying to be tricky on getting information about someone, I read the Witch the riot act the last time, reported her, and the calls stopped.

Got a call asking for me by name. I asked who's calling before I confirmed my name.  The man told me his name is Hugh.  That's all. He wouldn't tell me the name of his company or explain why he is calling.   He continued to press me for my name and got increasingly belligerent.  I told him that he needed to explain who he is. He said he told me who he is...? I don't know a Hugh.  Then he told me that he needed information about a neighbor. Seriously?  He told me that by my answers, he knew my name and hung up on me!  When I checked caller ID, I could see the number and that it was Ford Motor Credit.  I don't have any idea why they would call me about a "neighbor".  I can't think of anyone that drives a Ford or why they would give my name!  I am very creeped out that this Hugh felt so good to tell me that he knew my name.

Me too. I've never owned a ford and my cars are paid off. They didnt leave a message.

I keep getting a call from this people. No answer or vm. I own a Ford but not through a Ford creditor or dealership. Why are they calling me???

Extremely Annoyed.
