We get these phone calls too.  Unknown name.

Just got a call from this number.  When I answered the other end hung up.  I tried calling back and it just rang and rang and rang.  What is the point of this?

I get a call from this number almost every day. Same thing, nobody there. Ridiculous.

A man claimed to be from the police assoc. Didn't want to listen to the high pressure pitch so I hung up.

Received a call from this number today and yesterday. I had donated a long time ago to that police association fundraiser for policeman's burials. They kept contacting my year after year after that. Haven't donated since, felt it was a scam after that.

called last week and left no message then called again today and a man said hello a few times and I said who is this and he hung up.

this number has called me numerous times in the last 3 weeks. no messages or they hang up when you ask who it is. when I called it back it has a recorded message that says fund raising center.  they want you to leave our name and number.

calls all the time, half the time no one there, the other half they ask for a person and then hang up. A pain in the butt

Have received calls from this number almost daily for several weeks now.  If I do answer there's no one there.  Today they left a message of cat-call type whistles.  It shows up on caller ID as "Local Call"

This # calls at least three times a day and is becoming a nuisance. If they can't leave a message it isn't important enough to answer unless I recognize the number.  How can I get it to stop. It's harrassment!!!

I just received a call from a guy at this number.  He claimed he was raising money for the police department.  He wanted to transfer me to another group to get my information (mailing address, etc).  When I insisted that I didnt want to donate he got huffy and hung up!

I also have received numerous calls fron this number, and, the one time I answered, there was no response.  I am glad to read that it is a call to solicit funds, so now I will ALWAYS ignore it.  My caller ID also read Local Call.

always call, I never answer, no message ever left. The caller aparently needs to have stats showing he/she is making the calls.

I guess from all the comments this is telemarketers or some such thing.  Is it for real?  Or is it a scam?  Is there any way to report this number to make it stop?  I am on state/federal Do Not Call list so why are these people still able to do this kind of calling?  

I called them back and got a huge long message that finally said they had a do not call list but you had to identify the name of the charity that they were calling for, and, of course, they don't tell you who they are calling for.  I think the whole thing is a scam.
