Caller identified himself as Richard Wallace and said power was scheduled to be shut off today. Was calling from an out of state number and said he was calling from a corporate office. Our state power company has no such thing out of state. Then quoted a missed back pay amount that was way far off. I told him he was a scammer and he hung up. I expect he was going to ask for payment over the phone. Beware!

We had a call from the same people today. They said that Xcel Energy was turning our power off if we didn't pay over $1200.00  He said they only take cash which threw up a red flag. The number is from Brighton Colorado. He gave my husband the name of his supervisor and extention to reach him at although he never connected my husband with the supposed supervisor. The call just kept getting disconnected while he waited on hold to talk to a supervisor. We called Xcel Energy and the  police and this is a scam. Beware!
