Do not have one...asked what other mags I get!
Had my name, address and phone.
    Said codeing error...BS...obvious telemarketer.

called several times and left no message.  Odd thing was that on the name line of caller id, it states the word "none" (rather than name not available, out of area, etc.)

Today it was National Geographic. 727-289-7248 call back was a FAX number. This Tampa, FL call center must go! DO-Not-Call list is a joke. Can the FL AG help?

Said they were calling about my Reader's Digest account.  I interrupted then and said I had not had one for many years and thanked them and hung up.  My name also said "None."  I will include this number with my report to the DNC.

Just got a call from this number, man asked, "Is this Mrs. (my last name)?"  I said no, she's not here, may I take a message?  He asked for Mr. (my last name).  I said he's not here, who is calling?  He started to say never mind, goodbye and I yelled, "I'm on the 'do not call' list, do not call me back!" and hung up.  I tried calling this number back and got a fax machine.

called and asked for mrs _____________.  said they were not available so they just asked for mrs _______________ again but just pronounced it differently.  Did not want to state who they were or to leave a message.  Just said they would call another time.  I am also on the do not call list.

I got a call from 727 289-7248.  The female caller said she was calling about my Readers Digest renewal.  I told her that we didn't subscribe, and she said that she showed that we subscribed to the Readers Digest, National Geographic, and a news magazine which I have forgotten.  I told her that we subscribed to none of them, and she said that we needed to update our credit card information in order to "fix the problem".  I told her "NO", that I was certainly not going to give her my credit card information, and she just said "thanks", and hung up.  This is obviously a phishing scam, and I hope that no one will fall for it.  Is there a place to turn them in?

Didn't answer 727-289-7248, since the caller ID said "NONE".  They didn't leave a message, of course.  Thinking back, I've gotten these 'your subscription to Readers Digest' calls in the past.  Now that I know they're hounding everybody with this scam, I'll be a lot less polite if they ever do call again.

Don`t answer any calls from this number !   They keep calling my phone , don`t say a thing , and you
can hear all kinds of voices in the background . Nuisance calls, hemorrhoid caller, wanting to sell you
more magazines I guess.  Then the line goes dead . No caller ID.   If you want them to hang up right away- DON`T ANSWER WITH " HELLO " ,  answer with " What do you want " . They gang up right
    away !

I too have been getting calls from this number.  Caller id has "NONE" as caller.  From what I have read here, I assume if you have subscribed to any magazines, then you are on the list as a reader & one who must have subscribed to their magazine, whatever it is/was.  Just tired of getting these calls & no solution to get on a do not call list.  What a joke that list is!!

I've been polite and I've been rude. Neither one does any good! I've told them to NOT CALL they still call regarding our " Readers Digest" subscription which we have not had for over 8 years.  I tell them I wouldn't take their lousy magazine.  Now we don't answer any call unless we know the number, but it is a nuisance to hear the phone ring for 4 or 5 rings!

We've finally had it with this particular scammer.  I don't know what they are up to, but it's not good, and they bother us way too often.  I made a mark on my calendar six months ago when I asked them to take my number off their list and stop calling.  They said they would ( "it will take time to get the request into our system..."), and they've been calling steadily ever since. They called this morning.  Their spiel changes - always bogus, some magazine or other whose subscription needs attention - they need to update my credit card info.  When I say we don't get that magazine, never did, then do I subscribe to another magazine within that family of magazines?  Of it's a coding error? Oops, they were looking at the wrong screen....

I've complained about them so many times that on the Do Not Call complaint form their number auto-fills itself into the box. Today I filed a formal complaint against them with the FCC. If you wish to complain too, just keep track of a time and date they have called, and google FCC complaint to get the form, which you can submit online.
