Someone from Deltacom called me from this number.

I get this number calling me almost every week.  They are selling magazine subscriptions

This number is from "American Readers"...they are a total scam.  What they say is...you need to renew your subscription to Readers Digest, then they say that they will be more than happy to take care of the renewal process for you.  What they need is a credit card number...yea.  What is very funny, they told me that I needed to renew my subscription, and guess what I do not subscribe to Readers Digest.  So everyone out there, do not fall for this scam.

I got a call today from this number. They explained that the reason that I did not receive my magazines was that the credit card failed.  (Actually my credit card was billed $159.99 from "MAG 45 LLC 85545566205 FL" on 1/7/15 and I got nothing for it)  They claimed that they would resubmit my charge for the magazines and the charge would be only $200+.   If I waited to subscribe the charge would be $400+.   I said that I wanted NO MAGAZINES.  They said that I had no choice.   They claimed that my 1/7/15 agreement (mentioned earlier) committed me to subscribe I and could not back out. I screamed at them and hung up.

Some woman called and fast talked my granny out of her cc # sating they needed to verify the info for a magazine subscription. Lucky I was here because soon as they hung up we canceled the card. A week later they called back insisting she give them the info but she refused. I got on the phone with the lady and told her we would be giving no card info, she got loud and rude with me , almost threatening in tone. Told me they were going to continue to call and harass for further subscriptions unless ee followed their "protocol" to get our names off the list..the only part of the protocol though was giving her cc info. We refused amd when she calls we hang up. Been 3 days without a call. Maybe they realized they arent going to be able to victimize my elderly granny again. Hope they are brought down!

Thank goodness I never answer the line that they are calling me on.  it is reserved for calls from one person who has a special ring tone, and I don't know how these scam artists get the number, but intermittently I do get an awful lot of totally unwanted calls.
