CONSTANT Calls for months now...my ex apparently owes them money...so it is a collection agency for Macy's and some other department store(S)..often no answer on other end...if someone answers they ask for my ex...I told them that my ex no longer lives with me but the keep calling. Odd thing is When I call back the number I get someone's voicemail that is full and her name is Ashley Welborne? How is a creditors number called back to someone's constantly full personal number?
I hate these people and I can not get ahold of them... I don't know why they have my number rather than my ex's and I don't know how to stop it...help me
I have been getting calls from this number at least once a day sometimes more for the past month. They ask for someone who is not at this number. I have asked numerous times to be removed from their list. Finally I said I was the person and they told me they are a collection agency for Macys and said I owe money I said okay and they hung up. I called the 800 number they gave me and was told by Macys that mynumber wasnt in their system. Even filed complaint with FCC, so we'll see. Calls keep coming!
I received a call from this number. It showed up as "Name Unknown". I called it and got the Macy's credit number. I told the woman who answered that I had never had a Macy's account. She ran my number and asked I knew a Norbert somebody or a Luanne somebody. I don't, never have, and told her so. She apologized for the call and said she'd remove my number from their database.
I have recently started receiving daily calls from this number. When I answer, there is no response. Interesting that I did not start receiving these calls until the phone company cut my phone line and subsequently repaired it. I have an unlisted number which makes me very suspicious.
I've had problemms w/them calling me too. Calls have been at 7:15 a.m., three and four calls per day and when I answer there is no response. One of the debt collectors screamed at me. I called the 727-556-5772 number and the collector's are in India. I had no idea who they were. They asked for my SS#. Called credit office in OH and was told they would take me off the call list. Calls keep coming?
Same problems here too. I will never, never, never shop at Macy's again. We receive roughly 10 calls per day from this number. Each time the phone hangs up when we answer. Luckily I have caller ID to put the pieces together. If this isn't bad enough, I have called them back many times now to report it and they just don’t seem to care. According to them, if you just pay them what you owe, the calls will stop. (I have paid what I owed.) I have never been more frustrated in my life dealing with these people.
Incidently, I thought I would make some progress calling Macy's directly from the # on their website (instead of this collection agency number). I was forwarded to the same call center!
I found a good way to get around these annoying calls for now. On my cell phone I have changed the ringtone for this specific phone number to "silent". Now they can call all they want and I'll never hear it...
I got a call five minutes ago on my boyfriends cell phone. They have already called twice today and once yesterday. We don't even shop at Macy's but they say I owe them money. They always ask for my home number but I will not give them any information because they are not even calling my home number, it is our cell number. I talked to someone when they called earlier and they said they would not call but apparently that is not the case since they called again. So far it has been two people from India. I WOULD SUGGEST WHEN YOU SHOP NOT TO GIVE THE DEPARTMENT STORES YOUR NUMBER OR ANY STORE FOR THAT MATTER. I WORKED RETAIL THERE IS NO REASON FOR THEM TO HAVE IT.
Repeated calls from 727-556-5772 to my house, caller ID says the number is in Florida, but when I answer, nobody ever responds. When I let the call go to voice mail, no message is ever left.
I have seen online that this number may be for a collection agency. I have been getting collection calls for my ex-husband; when I speak with these agencies, I demand they remove my phone number from their files. But this constant calling with nobody there is annoying.
I recieved a call from this number today at my job, but it was for the office landline. They asked for a "Suzanne" someething, when I said they had the wrong number they asked to be transfered.
...
I told them there was no one here by that number and he hung up.
This number is a credit call center for Macy's and Bloomingdales. I think they are using mass telemarketing and spam voicemail to get people to call back. I would be leary about this outfit. Over the last three weeks I have had about a dozen calls and six voicemails and like many others, have no credit with these department stores. It is very frustrating. I have asked for my number to be removed. We'll see if it works.
Got a call from this number on my cell phone. A recorded message said that the call was important to them but all reps were on the line with other customers. It asked to to please stay on the line, but I hung up on them because I did not recognize the number. They called back later in the afternoon and asked for someone named Kimberly. I told them it was the wrong number, and they apologized and hung up.
THESE FOOLS CONTINUE TO CALL AND REFUSE TO GIVE ANY INFORMATION. THEY WILL NOT CEAE& DESIST. IF THIS IS IN FACT MACY'S, I WILL NEVER DO BUSY WITH THEM IN THE FUTURE.
Got call tonight... clearwater, FL... never left a message!.. Thought I try to find out who the phone number ower was. that god i found this site. and it does make sense to me.. I am behind with my macy's and now i know they are playing dirty pool in trying to solicte me.
Got calls from this number a number of times in Spring 2007; just started getting them again yesterday (9-17-07) and again today, literally two minutes ago. Since I refuse to answer a call I don't recognize, they also refuse to leave a message. I have my attorney looking into this now because its ridiculous.
This is the first time I got a call from this number...once this morning and once this evening, at 8:20 Mtn time. I looked online for the number because I was curious who was calling me...and not leaving messages. I figured if it was important a message would be left. After I found all these complaints online I felt a little relieved. I called the 727# but blocked my number. A man answered and I told him I only owed Macy's $8.00....but later discovered I owed the Visa portion $320! I haven't been getting my mail for 2 months and I don't know why. I just got off the phone with the Macy's rep and he is taking the late charges off my bill but I am definately going to pay soon because these calls are annoying.
Just started receiving these calls a couple of days ago. They call several times throughout the day and never leave a message. I decided to answer once today and no one was on the other end. And if this is a Macy's collector I just realized I haven't gotten my Macy's bill since June. Whats going on???
Some tips that MAY work in our favor... !! :) Just got this today, how IRONIC! Please read and forward to everyone you know!! Humorous and small GOOD ideas... ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Three Little Words That Work !!
(1)The three little words are: "Hold On, Please..."
Saying this, while putting down your phone and walking off (instead of hanging-up immediately) would make each telemarketing call so much more time-consuming that boiler room sales would grind to a halt.
Then when you eventually hear the phone company's "beep-beep-beep" tone, you know it's time to go back and hang up your handset, which has efficiently completed its task.
These three little words will help eliminate telephone soliciting.
(2) Do you ever get those annoying phone calls with no one on the other end? This is a telemarketing technique where a machine makes phone calls and records the time of day when a person answers the phone.
This technique is used to determine the best time of day for a "real" sales person to call back and get someone at home.
What you can do after answering, if you notice there is no one there, is to immediately start hitting your # button on the phone, 6 or 7 times, as quickly as possible. This confuses the machine that dialed the call and it kicks your number out of their system. Gosh, what a shame not to have your name in their system any longer!
(3) Junk Mail Help: When you get "ads" enclosed with your phone or utility bill, return these "ads" with your payment. Let the sending companies throw their own junk mail away.
When you get those "pre-approved" letters in the mail for everything from credit cards to 2nd mortgages and similar type junk, do not throw away the return envelope.
Most of these come with postage-paid return envelopes, right? It costs them more than the regular 41 cents postage "IF" and when they receive them back.
It costs them nothing if you throw them away! The postage was around 50 cents before the last increase and it is according to the weight. In that case, why not get rid of some of your other junk mail and put it in these cool little, postage-paid return envelopes.
One of Andy Rooney's (60 minutes) ideas. Send an ad for your local chimney cleaner to American Express. Send a pizza coupon to Citibank. If you didn't get anything else that day, then just send them their blank application back! If you want to remain anonymous, just make sure your name isn't on anything you send them.
You can even send the envelope back empty if you want to just to keep them guessing! It still costs them 41 cents.
The banks and credit card companies are currently getting a lot of their own junk back in the mail, but folks, we need to OVERWHELM them. Let's let them know what it's like to get lots of junk mail, and best of all they're paying for it...Twice!
Let's help keep our postal service busy since they are saying that e-mail is cutting into their business profits, and that's why they need to increase postage costs again. You get the idea !
If enough people follow these tips, it will work ---- I have been doing this for years, and I get very little junk mail anymore.
THIS JUST MIGHT BE ONE IDEA THAT YOU WILL WANT TO FORWARD TO YOUR FRIENDS!
