Annoying phone calls, don't give you a chance to pickup.

If this is a Gannett Newspaper subscription sales line then you won't get any satisfaction telling them to stop calling you or taking you off their list.  I tried this a few times and they persisted, sometimes more than three times a day.  If you have a telephone service that permits forwarding and screening, you can screen their number and forward it to another telemarketers number, so, as to give them back a taste of what it is like to be targeted on a daily basis.  So far its worked great, the phone rings once and then stops so I know that my little scheme is still getting results.  They won't stop because its their nature to sell you something, I just help them by giving them another number to call.

Tell them to stop calling. If they call back, blow a loud whistle into the phone every time they call.

I did it and it worked. That is how I finally got rid of these pests.

I used to subscribe to the News Journal and when I stopped it they kept charging my credit card.  It took forever to get it straightened out and I wouldn't subscribe to their paper now if it were free.  They phone me several times a day -- you'd think they would eventually give up but they don't.  Don't pick up their calls or they will say you agreed to have the paper delivered -- they are vultures.

They are terrible. They never quit. I ordered one of their papers and never received one copy...even though they kept charging me.
They are awfully persistent and don't know one thing about customer service or customer relations.
Blowing the whistle sounds like a great idea. :)

This company calls all hours from 5:30 am until 930pm.  NOTHING makes them stop, do not call list does not mean crap!

Still getting several calls a week despite my saying every time that I do not want newspaper delivery BECAUSE THEY CANNOT RELIABLY SUSPEND DELIVERY when I am away. The New York Times manages to do that perfectly. Gannett leaves "free" newspapers soaking up the rain in my driveway and announcing my absence .

I get this call at least 3 or 4 times a day!  It's obnoxious and harrassing.   So sick of it.
I don't want the paper - My husband tells them to stop calling ALL THE TIME!  What the heck.

I am happy to know that I am not the only one getting these annoying calls.  I did answer one time and the person I spoke with was so rude and obnoxious, I had all to do not to swear at them.  They call all hours of the day, at least 3 times a day, if not more.  It's too bad they don't hire people that are human and understand "no" and "don't call again".  The callers are obviously desensitized to the point that they are "robot-like".  Perhaps one of the callers will read these comments and get the message "DO NOT CALL AGAIN". (please)
