he keeps texting me even after i asked him to stop

This random guy texts me and starts asking if I'm cute and where I am.  Very scary.

This guy's a big time weirdo.  Seems like he's somewhere in the range if teens to early twenties.  Either way, immature, especially to be doing this.

He sent me a text asking if I was still awake, when I asked who he was he said wrong number, sorry to bother you.  I said no problem and he responded with "r u a guy or girl"  At this point I found him kinda weird, so I googled his number and found this thread.  After reading the previous responses, I confronted him and harassed him a bit.  He told me he wasn't gonna talk to a guy at 3 in the morning and asked me to stop texting him, so I did.  He's definitely pretty weird and along the lines of a sexual predator.

This guy is a loser, who picks up chicks by texting random numbers?  Verizon should tell his mommy.

I just recieved a text from him also. Curious if I should report it or not.

rec'd a txt at 1:58am "hey u i cant sleep r u awake" wasn't so didn't reply ... saw complaint threads.

Sent a text "hey u what r u doing" at 11:30PM  I wrote back the next morning "who is this" and didn't hear from him again.

Got "hey u stil [sic] awake" from this number. I saw what was written here and told him to eff off.

I just got the "hey wat r u doin" also. I was tempted to write back "spelling like an adult" but I just ignored it.

I received the "hey u" message on 6/10/09 at 9:21PM.  Didn't respond.

2 random texts from this character.  One "you still awake?" > "sorry, wrong number" > "are you a guy or a girl?" set of texts.  That was a few months ago.  Just got one ten minutes ago asking me what I was doing tonight.  Told him/her to stop texting.

I woke up to this guy or girl's text. The law enforcement will take some action soon to stop this from happening.

You been reported and apparently they are investigating.

text at 1:40 am-received from 732-796-8789-December 29,2009-did not answer it.

Got a text from this number saying "happy New Years".. I responded and said who is this.. Got a text back saying sorry to bother u, i texted the wrong number.. I said ok no problem.  then i gotta another text saying hi my names mark, what's urs.. r u a guy or a girl.. So i told him stop being creepy and leave me alone.  Got an "im sorry" response.

Same thing as the person above me, got a text saying "Happy new years". I responded back "Thanks, but who is this and why don't I have your number".  They responded back, "Sorry for bothering you I dialed the wrong number".  Googled his number and this is what I found. Very scary

He is at it again.  I got the same 'r u still awake' message.

Got a text from 732-796-8789 saying "hey r u still awake" on Sunday, Jan 31 2010 at 12:23 am.

i just received a text from this number saying 'hey wats up' -- nice spelling. i too, wrote back with 'who is this?' & i received the 'sorry for botherin u i text the wrong number' response.  based on the previous posts about this number, i'm a little creeped out.  i also received a phone call from an 'unavailable' number 2 days ago; i answered, said hello twice, and then whoever was calling, hung up.  has anyone ever tracked this creep down or heard of him being apprehended?  i don't like that i have the same area code as this thing.
