calls then hangs up.  My caller ID says Rutgers University.  We are all Alums but this is just really weird especially since it is a caller from the University.

I got a call from this number last night but did not answer.  It was identified as Rutgers University, but I work there and that is not one of the prefixes that Rutgers uses.

"They" called then hung up.  The number may have been dialed by computer, which sometimes hang up on cell phones.  I think the number is related to Rutgers University Giving.

I've been getting calls from this number on my cell for the past few nights. I never answer calls from numbers I don't recognize. Tonight they left a message that just said "um" then hung up. I'm also a rutgers alum.

I've been getting calls from this number.  I don't know the number, so I don't answer it, and they don't leave a message.  I'd guess it's related to rutgers, since the ru foundation number is 732-839-2006.  Just another line in that building.

I checked my Caller ID and I've gotten calls from this number every three days, with a three-week break from 8/01-19, then every two or three days. So happy to find this site! I am an alum and I figured they were just calling for a donation. I'm in Dallas, don't give a hoot about RU. I am paying tuition and apartment for my son who goes to Univ of Texas at San Antonio, so there is my donation to higher ed! I haven't answered the phone when this number shows up, so from reading this it seems there is no one on the other line? I thought if I answered it was going to be a student calling for money (like I has been in the past, usually yearly) and then the calls would stop. So no one has had these calls STOP yet? Has anyone gotten a person? I'm curious now, so the next time they call I'll answer and see who or what (computer dialer?) is on the other end. Howdy from Dallas, y'all!

Forgot to mention that my outgoing message plays but they never leave a message either.

I just called the 732-839-2044 number back and got a recorded message saying it was the Rutgers Foundation Annual Giving Office. They give you the option of calling back 732-839-2006 between 9 and 5. I left a message with my phone number asking them not to call again. See if it works.
