Received voice mail message from a "Mary Cardell" saying she found my resume on Michigan Works website, wanted to know if I wanted to "consider opportunities outside my current career path," did not leave name of her company, just phone number 734-223-6280.  Wish I had googled phone number before wasting my time phoning her back.  She was not forthcoming when I asked what kind of work was involved, just that it involved finances.  After googling I learned it was connected to Primerica, Inc.  I am not interested and wish State of Michigan would be more careful in giving out information.

I just received the same call and have had others like it. That is the Primerica way. Have learned to ignore the messages but they are frustrating.

Received the same call, same number, same person, same speech. A couple of months ago I received also a call from Primerica. Waste of my time.

I just received a call from Mary Cardell.  She said the same thing that she said to you back in 2016.  Wow, why would I consider a career outside of what I went to school for?  I did not bother calling her back.  Same phone number.

Mary must be making the rounds.  Received the same message from phone # 734.223.6280.

Call from Mary Cardell.  Same message as posted in previous posts.  I never call anyone back that does not leave the company name to start with.  They usually are all a scam or trying to draw you into a business that is "shady" at best.

Mary called me too. Immediately Googled the number and came across the lovely posts on this site. This website is a great tool. Won't waste my time.

She has a new number now. I received the same message. The number is (248) 529-1080!

Got the same call, but Mary’s number is now blocked. Same script. I won’t be returning the call.

Michigan Works spam. Primerica opportunity from Mary who wants you to go outside your experience. This is an MLM. Don't waste your time.

just made an appt with Mary Kardel. How do you know it's multi-level  marketing? This would be the third time in my job search that I've bumped into one. I am not normally naive. She said she is a "one-stop- shop" for financial services including mutual funds and mortgages. She mentioned TD Ameritrade, which is legit. However, why is everyone skeptical about Primerica?

Because it is a well known MLM marketing scam, has been around for years. Good luck working for them, I doubt you will make enough to cover your expenses. Ask yourself why would she be so evasive about the company name if it wasn't a scam?

I am very forthcoming about the purpose of my call.  I have a website, www.primerica.com/mkardel, a FB page - Mary Kardel & Associates and a full profile on LInkedIn.  There is nothing about my business that is vague or misleading.
