I just received an email from a guy named Lance Morris, who claims to be with the Hogan Law Firm. Email states I will be prosecuted within the next two days, for having loan money put into direct deposit( which I never did). Email states I will be charged with federal banking regulation, check fraud, and theft by deception. Email also goes on to say, I will owe $11,985.00, and that does not count attorney fees or bail money. What's scary, is this guy has my old home address, my social security number, and my current email address( Which I've had for many many years). EVERYONE PLEASE BEWARE OF THESE FRAUDS !

I got the same from him and I emailed him back and told him I had received no paperwork from anyone and until I do I will not pay anything. I also told him I goolged his name and his law office and his phone number and it all came back as a fake and I told him if I didn't get any paper work in a timely manner I was reporting him to the authoritites and they can deal with him being a fraud also.

I received the same information from this company , they have my social security number  and  is requesting money for an account is not mine.

I also received the same email.  I am so tired of companies like this trying to fraud you out of money you do not owe.  I wish there was a way to find them and sue them and maybe they would stop harassing people.

Yup got same message and called Hogan law they don't know who Lance Morris is. The fact there were typos and a gmail email address raised big time flags. SCAM LOSERS!!

I got same email today. Replied to it and have heard nothing yet

I received the same email today...  All the info was correct except using my work address and an old email address that I have forwarded to my current address.

They me an email that I  owed $11,958.
I call them and for an address and they refused. I asked for ext 195.
A man answered (754) -581-8339  ext 195 Lance Morris.
I told him I am gonna report him to the FBI. And he told me
That I should go right ahead.

He just did this to me. he is trying to get the same amount out of all of us. I contacted the attorneys office and i was told that he is in india and has everyones information AND THAT THEY ARE AWARE OF HIM AND THIS SCAM!!!. flag your credit score that no one can fraud you!!!! THIS IS FRAUD!!!!

Just ignore their calls, there isn't much more you can do, other than change your phone number. I just ignore the calls myself

I received one too.  they have also called me from several difference numbers.

I got the email at 813am today.

I went ahead and reported him to the FBI

I was dealing with this a few years ago and changing my number finally stopped the calls but I got a e-mail today, which gives me a better paper trail, so I went ahead and reported him to the FBI.  I am the daughter of a police officer, so I also let my dad know just in case they try to contact him again (they tried before, but after he informed them of his knowledge of law they stopped).  They had a old address and phone number and my dad pointed out that anything real would have updated that, and that he has never heard of a case being flagged through your social security number.

I just received an email from the same the guy. This is the second time within the last 5 months.  I have contacted the IRS and State's Attorney office to report this guy and well as placed my credit on high security alert.  Nothing can go through an approval process without me taking the block off.  I can't even get a credit card let alone a larger fianace without the block being removed directly from me with my pin I placed on the account.  

This is a lousy scam on his part because his email he sends is not proper grammar. My 5th grader could write it better! He does have my old info as well with my SSN but I have no worries because this is a WELL KNOWN scam.  

Contact the Credit Bureau and have a freeze placed on your credit.
