I just received a call from this phone number stating they were a credit collecting agency buty could not hear the same as they were talking so fast. The addressed me by name and the last four numbers of my social secutiry number. When I asked what was this call about they mentioned a "supposed" credit card from 2003. I told them not to call me and I did not know what credit card debt they were talking about. I requested their mailing address and the employee number of the person I was on they phone with as I would only accept communication by mail. The person on the phone knew they were wrong so she laughed and said they would never call me again. This was a total scam to get information. If they call you always ask for their employee number, business name and address if they are legit they will give it to you - if not they will hang up.

I was contacted by this number, saying they represented Check into Cash.  I have never had a payday loan and when I requested "proof of the validity" of the debt I was told "Well I want a million dollars but I am not going to get it am I".  I am a law student and tried to explain to the gentleman that by law they have 30 does to give me such information.  The call seemed phony so I called Check into Cash Corp. Headquarters and they explained to me they handle all collections internally and do not out source their accounts, but ran my name through their computer to find out that I in fact had never dealt with them or any other pay day company within this state.  In SC the payday companies have a computer system that shows all clients and all they loans they have or have had.  This company is a scam.  They are trying to find people that will not ask questions. I have notified our local authorities, and they have said a detective will  be calling me.  This is the law:  Collection agents are not allowed to make threats of what they will do to you, they have to supply "validity of debt" within 30 days, and they have to use professional language and tell you up front, "This is a debt, any information obtained will be used for such purposes".  My advice when a debt collection agency calls you, call the original holder of the debt.  It is their debt and the debt collection agency makes money ONLY if THEY collect.  The original holder of the debt will normally settle with you for a fraction of the debt, because then they will not have to pay extra fees to a collection agency.  Also they original debt holder can usually work out a payment plan with you.

Received a call from this # and was asked to "Please hold, your call is very important to us", like I was calling on some phone tree system.  The # identified itself as having originated in Chincoteague, VA. This came after I was phoned by "Premier Services" earlier from # 601 501-4105 with an actual person on the line who wanted to give me a $200 gift card for being identified as a "Master Card holder who was eligible for Premier Status".  The latter # has been identified as a scam by several people when I checked it here.  

Caveat Emptor!!!

These people called my cell phone and then my home phone. Neither time did they leave a message. I put them on call block.

I recieved a call from a lady she asked if it was me an I said yes an was saying I owed debt an I Said I dont have any money she then went on an said that I owed checks mart an another one, an when I said I wanted proof by mail she said Ill just put a refusal to pay since you said that first, I said twice if you need to send me proof of my debt an just kept avoiding it saying they will just right it of as refusal.  I also said ok you can say i refused but your recording of this message will state that i didnt refuse ive asked for proof an by law you have to prove it an send me documentation. I ended up hanging up on her an i try to call back to speak to someone else an the phone number is no longer in service wow.. SCAM

received a call on my government phone from a lady - she was asking for a man name i beleived was jason - told her she may have a wrong # - she inquired if i don't know thta person - told her no - said is this a business - told her no - it's the us government - she hung up - I called the # back and a recording said this # is not in service -
