They left a message - it was UPS calling to be sure a package I reported as missing had been delivered.  Obviously not, or I wouldn't have reported it in the first place!

It was UPS!

They called me today, sounding remarkably like Peggy, and said they were verifying the status of a missing package claim. I hadn't submitted one, so I googled the tracking number while he was rambling on and found that it had been delivered. In fact, once I knew which package it was, I knew that it had also been repaired and returned. He then started telling me that my damaged shipment claim was being denied because I didn't use enough tape (six pieces). Damaged? I thought it was missing! Now I think they create claims and then deny them to boost their own ratings with the manager of the department.

I had filed a UPS claim.  They called me from this number to notify me that the claim was approved.

It is UPS, but if you miss the call, you caqnnot call them back

it's fake...    claiming to be UPS  but (if you get fake UPS email delivery notices via email also..)

just tell them to stick it up their rectums.

also watch out for websites that don't look right all of the sudden like ebay and whatnot.

once was ups...    again,   fogery.    scan your computer..  clean up your phones and block the #.


seriously,  it is not rocket science.

757-591-6001 is legitimately a UPS number used to make outbound calls in Virginia.  It's a Verizon landline in their Newport News, VA office.  

I've being called by them on it per CID, over legitimate issues of damaged package claims.  

If it's showing up on calls that aren't from the real UPS, then VOIP scammers may be using it as a fake as they often do.  For a change though, 757-591-6001 is a real and valid number used by UPS agents for problem deliveries and damage claim investigations, mostly for a limited region of Virginia and North Carolina.

This was UPS calling me about a lost package claim I filed on their website yesterday. It's a legit number- I just can't believe they actually called me to follow up!

Just received this call. No message. Only one call. I do have a tv damage claim I submitted yesterday for ups damaging a flat screen tv. My guess is, initially, that its a legit call since the timing is right on my UPS Damage claim.

Just received a call from 757-591-6001 indicating they were from UPS and wanted to ask me question about a Macy's delivery.  I was contacting Macy's about a delivery that was not fully delivered.  So I will follow it up and let the site know.  I believe they may be legitimate because of the Macy's connection in the message.

If they were valid or smart, they would leave a message so that we can help them out with what they need from us.  They keep calling every few days, but not leaving a message.

It's definitely a legitimate UPS freight center. They've called me twice to check on a shipment of jam that a friend sent me. It's here in my local town distribution center, somewhere. NOTE: If you call the # back, you'll get either:
1) Recording saying to call main number
2) Disconnected # recording
IT IS UPS CHECKKNG ON A LOST SHIPMENT--NO NEED TO FEAR BILL COLLECTORS!! 😊
