rec'd call telling me i must either call them or have my attorney call them or all the liability would be on me identified himself as officer jason  miller

got a call from this number and the person identified himself as jason miller an irs officer.... very rude person.

Same description as PC Mathis wants myself or my lawyer to call back........definitely a Middle East accent. Never once said my name.  I am tempted to call from a blocked # and ask what this is in reference to and tell him to go pound sand!

I just got a call from this same number.  From "VA, USA"  A woman with a thick accent, via automated message, advised me or my attorney to call the IRS office she purports to work for immediately.

This is of course scammy-sounding, and I will not call back.  But I am curious what scam is afoot.

I just got a call from this number leaving message that they needed my attorney phone # for IRS, very thick accent.  I called back and the guy was very rude. Told me something about IRS investigation.

I received a prerecorded call saying everything the above people described. Immediately attempted to call back and phone rings endlessly with no answer. I will be calling the IRS directly to report this to them.

To submit an official scam report to the IRS you go to this website http://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam.shtml or call - 1-800-366-4484. It says that the scammer may even know your last four of your ssn so be very careful and look up the phone number for the IRS and call them directly instead of having the caller call you...

Same guy called me with the same BS. Heavy accent. Must call him or attorney.

Thanks to websites like this, I'm relieved to learn this is a known scam.

Received call on my cell at about 2:15PM today.  Same deal as comments below........some clown with an Indian accent claiming to be an IRS "officer".  Sounded like his name was Miller, but the voice was so poorly transmitted, it was hard to tell - perhaps it was filtered thru some type of voice change software?
Be sure to block the call so that it does not bother you ever again!
