Got a call from this number. did not answer.  Called back on landline. This is a debt consolidation agency.  Add to block list.

These guys (Portfolio Recovery) are genuine bottom feeders of debt collection industry. They buy old statute expired debt and through harassment tactics try to collect 10 to 30 cents on the dollar. Of course the minute anything is collected, the statute date resets to day 1 and their other outfits and ambulance chasers come after you. If you have noticed their letter of settlement is only for the debt with them, not original debtor or the next place they sell it to. The only way to fight these guys is to get with your state authorities. These guys know all the Federal loopholes.

I continue to get call after call after call, they will call every 5 minutes. But it's okay because they are on my black list and they get blocked. I don't owe them a penny. I do not know why they insist on calling and refuse to take my number off their call list. So I just continue to block them and if they come from another number then I block that number as well. They will eventually get tired of calling. even if they switch to the automated system they will still get blocked

I don't know if this company is aware which they should be, telemarketers, debt collectors especially are not to call more than one time in a 72 hour period and I will eventually file a harassment suit

Please do not hold your breath.  I don't owe them, and I have 44 different numbers blocked. All Portfolio.  I'll be dead and gone when they stop.  They are the most aggravating people I've ever had to deal with.  This number was new, and again, I blocked them.  I'm about ready to get an unlisted number and just pay the additional money.  The federal government should shut them down for harassment. I don't know if the FCC can help or not.  Maybe I should turn the key and just sue them. I can give the FCC all 44 numbers and see if that helps. You reckon?
