this [***] thinks they are slick. I sent them a text by landline and am tracking them. I recommend everyone else do the same. It is most likely a sacm, I believe someone has tried to hack into my phone account and I'm pretty sure it is them. I keep getting texts from my account telling mw what my passwords are. So they are probably hacking into my phone. It is not that hard to do, it's happened to me before. If you track it and file a report with both the police and phone company they can create a file and locate the unwanted caller.

I got a call from this # and another which is almost identical, but ends in 4 rather them 5. The are claiming to be my bank, I have not given them any info... and when I call back its a recorded voice that says " we are unable to do that, goodbye"

I also got a call from this number. When I say hello,  it got cut.

I have had 2 calls. both from the same place but ending in different numbers.  When I called back on a land line it was Phoneware, Phonenet. Inc.  Full service call center for fortuine 500.  Clearly not.

Phonenet Inc. is going to get some phone calls now.

got a call at 11.35am today and then another from 7605268144 at 2.15pm. didnt answer either. no voicemail from 8135.

Your phone company could do a lot to help shield you from annoying telemarketers, but they don't. That's a choice they make. They also make a choice to spend lots of dough lobbying your government representatives in an effort to stop them from instituting measures that would protect you.

What can you do? Punish your service provider for misbehaving. Here's how I do it:

My land line is with a VOIP service. They give me many more services than the phone company (at a far lower price) including the option to block callers by caller ID. When this parasite called my land line, I simply added his ID to the others on my list of blocked callers. He's toast.

And what if he should call my cell number? I no longer hand out my cell number. I no longer answer my cell if someone calls it directly (that tells me it's a telemarketer calling). Instead, I now use a messaging service. In my case, it's the totally free and fantastic Google Voice. I only hand out my Google Voice phone number. Google Voice then routes calls to both my cell and landline - simultaneously and instantly. If a telemarketer gets my Google Voice phone number, I simply go to my Google Voice account and block them.

The phone company and big marketing firms have been sticking it to you for a long time. It's now time to return the favor.

They work for Phone Ware out of California.  They've pestered me everyday for one week now.  They state they are calling on behalf of Verizon (our businesses phone company), want to save us money & want to record our conversation. When I ask, "What company are you *working* for?", they respond, "Phone Ware" and quickly procede with their spiel. I've requested to be put on their DNC list, but they keep calling. I called Verizon to lodge a complaint but just got the run around. Per the FCC, businesses are NOT protected by the Do Not Call program; we are SOL! I will continue to keep my cool and just hang up on the scumbags...even if it is 100 times a day!

Rec'd call from this # spoke with female who stated she was with Time Warner Cable. I called TW Cable and was told that they do not farm solicitation calls. This person was fishing for information....shady!

Got a call from this number a week ago.  I answered, heard silence for about 2 seconds which tells me it's a telemarketer, and then hung up.  Received a call from the same number; didn't answer this time and the voicemail was just silence.
