- Firefighter| 1 replyThey called my work today, claiming that i had three criminal charges pressed against me by a local business. I am glad i didn't give them my information. They also gave me like three different names but when i called back to talk to George Wilson they wouldn't let me talk to him. Is there anything i can do??

- rhonda replies to FirefighterThis morning, 10-calls from this number came in, but I didn't answer any of them, I just kept hitting the ignore on my cell phone. Anyway, this guy left me a message, Perry Black, same guy that called me yesterday but from a 510-544-0204 somewhere up in Oakland. Later yesterday, someone else called, this time a woman from a 315-628-1706 and that number is from New York, same story as before with that Perry guy. This is ridiculous. I feel like calling him back and telling him that I have already reported him to the authorities. What should I do???? Makes me so mad!!!!!
- rhondaanyone got a call from this guy?? He called yesterday, but with a different number 510-544-0204.
Guess these people move fast. he says he is from the back office of the customer affair and business regulations. Yeah right!!!!!!- Call type: Debt collector
- Bryan| 2 repliesI just got a call from Perry Black also saying that I have 3 criminal charges against me. That they sent me a loan and I never paid it back. I never received any money this is got to be a scam. They said that they can resolve the problem if i pay 445.36.. I said No. I am so mad right now cause I know I have never did nothing wrong to deserve a phone call like I received. 760-875-4218
- rhonda replies to Bryan| 1 replyI know just how you feel. It is not a fun situation. They call me on my cell phone, so what I did is block that number, but now they call me at work. So because of this dumb ... my last day of work is on the 31st of this month. This jerk caused me my work.
- TiaThis is a scam. I received a call at my home 7:30 this morning about a lawsuit against me. They said I received $300 for a pay day loan and that when the company went to take their money out my account there were no funds. They kept giving me the run around and said I had to go to California, which I live in North Carolina, and go to a court that does not even exist. They told me that if I did not go that they would drag me to court. I told them to do as they please because I had my bank statements pulled up in front of me, and there was no deposit for a loan. They just want to get as much information from you as possible, but do not give it to them.
- MikeMy friend had the same thing happen to him a few weeks ago. He went crazy trying to figure all this out. Now this morning my wife gets a phone call for the exact same thing. Some guy starts talking to her (you can hardly even understand him) you have 3 criminal charges filed against you...blah blah blah $4,000 in court or $350.00 out of court.

- Chris A. from PASame thing happened from the number 760-875-4218 to me on my cell phone and work phone. It is a scam, pure and simple. Just ignore them. They eventually stop calling. They used a variety of different names such as James Thomas, Perry Black, Jim Jones, etc. It is the same two or three "East Indian guys" acting as a state investigation group or calling themselves attorney's. They use paid phone cards, so it is impossible to trace their number to an actual location. Sure you can get a city or state if you do a reverse lookup, but they are probably remotely calling from just about anywhere. Scary thing is that they all have your real personal information that they have fradulent stolen from phishing the information online from something you signed up for, such as a PayDay loan in the past. They had my social security number, home address, everything they needed to start up a fake identity in my person. However, these guys are not looking for that - they simpy want you to give them authorization to debit your checking account by making you think you have a "past due" bill and will try and make it sound that you are being sued for the dummies out there that will fall for their scam.
Don't give them any bank account information!!!!!!!!!!- Caller: James Thomas - Scammer

- BeeYes, do NOT I repeat NOT give Perry Black ANY of your information! I thought it was real because he had EVERYTHING about me and I have never been scammed before. But all I did was give him some legal mumbo jumbo and let him know I reported them to the FTC and that I was pressing charges..have not heard from them since.
- Sally| 1 replyI always let it go into voicemail. It sounds like one of those foreign scams. The dude can't even speak audible english. He threatens everytime that either I or my attorney need to call him immediately This has been going on for months and it's always the same guy but he has a different name about every month he changes it. It's so obvious it's him. He's lucky I've never picked up the phone and spoke to him because he'd probably pee his pants after I was through with him or hang up the phone crying like a little girl. This company is pathetic and desperate.

- Maeve replies to SallyYep just happened to me with Number 760-875-4218 Some wierd guy left me and my husband messages on both our celphones asking for me. Me or my attorney to call him. I called back and they hang up the frauds. The call comes in area code (916) which is Northern California and the call back number is (760) which is Southern California.
Anytime someone says that I owe them a bill, mail it, fax and everything with business information to research your business I dont give personal information over phone and you just giving it to me is in violation of my privacy rights. That normally takes care of everything - CarolThese criminals have been calling me and my husband days and nights. They are driving me crazy to a point that I'll do anything to stop these harassment. I've found a post from this website in which the poster has some brilliant ideas to beat them in their own game. They use cheap indian monkeys to call us and we'll "ask" the general public in US to "stop" them. I wonder what will happen if I post a ads in Craiglist about giving away free big screen TV or video game with their return numbers (not the fake caller ID number!)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I received multiple phone messages on my business phone from both a female and a male with identical scripts in very broken english with thick, almost unintelligble accents.
I wasn't born yesterday--and because these people are scam artists AND irritating me when I have real work to get done--I took a few moments out of my day to screw with them.
First, I called them back and asked them if they needed directions to the memorial service or the funeral showing. The male on the other end said "I do not understand what you saying" (very broken english, thick accent). I then asked, "Sir, what exactly was your relationship with the deceased? Because the memorial is open to everyone, but the viewing of the body is for family only." He started in with "you must relay a legal message to XXXXX XXXXXX" (my name X'd out for privacy purposes). I told him that would be very difficult, considering XXXXX XXXXXX passed away six days ago, and my job was just to direct people on how to get to the memorial service. He stuttered a bit, then said "sorry to bother you" and hung up.
Oh no, I wasn't done there. I am just WAAAY too creative not to get even with these idiots even more. I then went online and filled out every "have an agent contact me" scam I could find. I entered their name (John Jackson) and their phone number (661-532-8529) for free insurance quotes, free daily horoscopes by phone, free debt relief help, free home improvement memberships, etc. Hopefully that will cause THEIR phone to ring off the hook with telemarketing scum and scammers.
But wait, there's more. I couldn't just hope they would get lots of calls, I had to make sure of it. So I signed into Craig's List for one of the biggest cities (most populated) that I know of. I listed an ad stating that I was in search of a payday type of loan, and for anyone in that business to call me and help me through the process. Again, I listed his name & number.
Then I went into my "spam" folder in my email and found any email that said something to the effect of "you inherited large sums of money from Nigeria" (as an example) and responded to those emails with his name and phone number as well.
Yes, it all is a little bit evil of me, but because these guys arn't in the U.S., I really don't think that our law enforcement is going to be able to do anything about it other than stick it in a file. If I come up with any more creative ideas to get even, I will definitely come back and post again so that you all might have some of the same fun!
Good luck everybody and absolutely do not give these guys any of your personal information, much less your hard earned money.

All I got from it was that I had legal charges against me for a payday loan that I never paid.
- Bryan replies to rhondaI have recently received another call now saying that they are the police and that I have to resolve this matter before they decide to take action. I said I will contact my local police and see what is going on they hung up. The Second time however I hung up with them. They somehow have my home number my social security number, my address. They know everything about me and Idk how! They call me every month now and it's driving me crazy. One call from California another from New York and they are landlines not businesses. If you block your number and call back they sometimes answer and they do not introduce them selves like a true representative all they say is "HELLO"!..
I am Truly Sorry Rhonda. I hope you find another job.. Best wishes! - BryanYeah they said I filled out a payday loan also and that they distributed the fund into my account. I have an online account so it's real easy access for me I pulled the records and nothing indicates that they put any money into my account. So they are lying trying to get information out of you to possibly still your identity and account information. They call you to scare you and then you say idk what you are talking about you must have the wrong person. They read you your social security number back to you and your full name so say NO you are not that person they are talking about!..Just hang up.. Or scare them and say I am contacting my local police and if they left a number on your caller Id just say I got you number. They probably most of the time hang up real fast.. So it's definitely a SCAM..
