Received a call from this number regarding a better interest rate on Visa card. Now this would be great except for a couple of issues.  First the number is from Minnesota and I live in Canada. Hmmmm. Second I don't have a Visa Card.  Sounds like it could be a fishing expedition to me.

Finally a scam phone call that worked in my favor.
I overslept and they woke me up, but I still want an end to this madness.

You may think this call came from Minnesota, but I doubt that very much.
These scammers will do anything to get your $.
It is a robocall using a spoofed phone # and they are probably calling from Nigeria or Afghanistan.
CNSMER ADVOCATE is what came up on CID, but that is also spoofed.
I left the call type as unknown because scam was not a choice.

It sure is a robot call, the caller 'name on my CID shows V09281643300015. Momorobo takes care if it but something needs to be done to stop thus altogether - obviously the do not call has no teeth

The idiots at Card Services have been calling me six days a week for over 8 years.  8 years ago, when they first started calling, i answered their calls a couple times and told them that I was not interested in their services and to please remove my number from their call list.  That was a useless request.  I have not answered any of their calls since then, but they continue to call six days a week from over 30 different phone numbers.  i estimate that they have called me over 2500 times without getting an answer.  And yet they continue to call.  They are idiots for continuing to call for 8 years without having their calls answered.

PLEASE report these scam artists to THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION at (877) 382-4357. The more people complain, the more likely they will be shut down.

This # has called my Husband several times since 9-25-15. He finally got the opportunity to answer the call just now. It was a lady from card services wanting to lower his interest rate on his credit cards. He told her he didnt have credit cards & she hung up instantly. I assume bc he was useless to her since there was no card to get info on to make a bunch of bogus charges on.

They do the same to me - it's SO annoying.  So, I decided to answer the calls and pretend like I'm interested in everything.  I give them fake information - I give them the address to Disneyland as my address and my name is Cindy Rella.  I keep them on the phone as long as I can.  I even made up a fake bank name - Bank of Anaheim and a fake credit card number.  When it finally gets to the point where they figure out the card doesn't work - they are really nice, because they really believe they have you hooked - I say something like "you keep wasting my time, now I'm wasting yours and I'll do this EVERYTIME you call" - well, instead of calling everyday - they now call about once every two or three weeks.  I almost look forward to the calls now and try and think of other stupid stuff to tell them.....kind of fun. There is no reporting these fools because they call from another phone number each time and the numbers don't work.  Believe me, if there was a way, I totally would.  I actually got a call back on my voice mail when I played my game - the guy was very upset and said some expletives on my voice mail - which I still have - but I have no idea who it is or how to find out.

There is no way to report them - they call from a different number from different states constantly - none of the numbers work - I think they are pinging off other numbers - it IS a total scam, that I'm sure of.

I have done that and it was for a fake cruise. I was able to keep them on the phone for just over 25 minutes feeding them with fake info while asking them to repeat themselves many times. I finished it off by asking them if I could bring my pet with me and they said only if it is a service animal. Told them I had a service elephant and the guy said "you can't bring an elephant on a cruise" and I started laughing at him when he said "so this is all just a big joke to you"  I said pretty much so, his final words to me was Good job and have a good day.

Now I have been having these calls forwarded to a disconnected # which gives them the recorded message, you’ve reached a number that has been disconnected or is no longer in service.

My wife gets calls like this at least once a week.  She always asks me to look up the number for her to see if it is a scam and it always is.  I've found that robo calls tend to have a significant lag time before someone starts speaking.  After I say hello a couple times and get no response I give them a five second count down and hang up.  I get far fewer calls than she does.  Thank you for providing this service.  Some of the post are quite entertaining.

A Call Blocker solved my problem.  Robo calls  do not ring and are Rejected.

Do not EVER answer a call like this or talk to them.  Having any conversation with them flagged your number as an active number and a potential mark.  At this point you should just change your number.

Rule of thumb: if I don't know the number, I don't answer.  Let it go to voicemail.  Look up the number, and blacklist it if it's a scammer.

    East Indian scammers
7634454982 called again to say I can reduce my credit card rate to 1% . The young male East Indian voice asked me if it was visa or MasterCard, at that point I asked him to explain his offer and the line went dead. I called back and wasn't surprised that the call could not go through.
What a bunch of morons. You would have to be very naive and ignorant to be fooled by these [***].
