Got a call at 5 am asking for Louis.  This is the first time I got a live person on the other end but the calls are always between 5am and 5:30 am.  And, by the way, my name isn't Louis.

Called at 9:00pm EST, would not speak just sit silent then hung up. Would not answer phone when called.

Called the last couple of days around the same time 8am EST hangs up before I get a chance to answer! When I call back..no answer.

I got a call from this number in the evening, no msg left.  I tried calling today, a lady repeating "thank you for calling, this call may be recorded for quality assurance purposes" then the call disconnected.  Who knows.

I got a call from this phone number. Asked if Timothy was there. I told him no (I lied)and asked to leave message. He said no thanks and will call back.

Ya I got the same number and it doesn't recall to Sallie Mae's Number from what I got for bills. the Numbers and area code don't even match up.

Hung up after three rings. Caller ID indicated it was from MCC.  No other info

Pretty sure it's Sallie Mae. They have a variety of #s, including unknown. Determined folks, for sure.

It's Sallie Mae. If you're getting a call from them you either owe them money or someone owes them money who's not answering their phone and you're listed as a reference. They're ruthless. Never borrow from them. NEVER.

Getting a call daily with no voicemail left

Is this some kind of fraud? I've been receiving missed calls from this number 765-283-3176, and no message were left on my voicemail. So, I've tried calling back and they ask me for my name, phone number and account number, which I did not give them and told them that they should be able to check the number that I'm calling from right now. Plus, I don't have an account with them. The lady hesitated and said no we don't have your number on record. I mean if you don't have my number of record then why are you calling my number every 2 hours? They call themselves Sallie Mae, "this call may be monitored for quality purposes".

Received a call - alot of noise in the background. Caller Id came up MCC. They asked for Megan - told them they had the wrong number and they hung-up. This is a business. One of our employees has a daughter by that name and I receive quite a few calls from collection agencies for him and his sons. I suspect this is a collection agency, also.

This number called and asked for my husband.. As soon as he got on the phone they said it was Sallie Mae and asked him for his name, birthdate and the last four digits of his social.. He hung up the phone and called Sallie Mae who he has his loans through and they said that they did NOT call.. They want your personal info for something else...

some one from this number calls me at least 2 times a day. i no longer answer, because when you do they just hang up.

Missed call on my cell phone with no message but when you look up the number on Google it looks like it is Sallie Mae.  I do have a loan I am paying through them, it is automatically deducted every month, so why the call?

I have received calls from this nunber many times the past couple of weeks.  When I inform them that the person they are calling for is not a resident there to please stop calling, the agent was very bitchy.  She told me she would keep calling until she got who she was calling for.  Last night she called four times within an hour from two different numbers.  I finally got tired of yelling at her, hung up, called one number and asked to speak to a supervisor.  When the supervisor "Jenny Jones" got on the phone I informed her I would report her to the Federal Trade Commission and file a cease and desist letter.  They are subjected to a fine from the federal trade commision for calling after you ask them to stop.  You can file suit if they insit on harrassing you with call.  Look up Cease and Desist letters online.  There are some you can just print off.

Yes Sallie Mae has now decided to call me every day, at least 3x a day. I suspect this is another one of their numbers.
Also, 888-629-0189 and 888-272-5543. I missed one payment!!!
