They left this number when responding to a Craigslist ad.  Their verbage in the reply sounded like a scam response to me.

Obviously part of a scam. Here is the email I got in response to a craigslist posting:

Thanks for the prompt response, my secretary will  process  and mail a
certified draft to cover the cost  as am completely satisfied  with
it.I will need the details of whom & where to mail the payment
1.Name to be on the check
2.Home address
3.Mobile phone number
Please note United Parcel Service do not deliver to P.O.Box and i will
not be  mailing a draft to one.My mover will be  coming over for the
pick up right after the payment as been delivered.Kindly delete the
posting as am totally committed to buying from you.I recently move
here on a job transfer and this will is a great by for me.Here is my
relay # 765-523-2844  am hearing  impaired and will receive your phone
messages via email ,regards.

I just got the same exact message from my craigslist posting as well.  I also noticed that the email addresses that they come from are not the same as the one you get when you hit "reply".  I recieved 2 emails with addresses of "hyunjiinoh@gmail.com", nolan.willis4@gmail.com, and vicflet1008@googlemail.com.

Same email...different email addresses   <dave.vicafiv.britt@gmail.com>
<m13drop@gmail.com> from a Mary Smith...sounds too good to be true...plus offers a certified draft and "her" mover will pick up the item...

So who do I contact to set these worthless idiots up? I knew it was a scam the second I read the email and decided I pretend like I was interested.

9-21-10 got this message as a reply to a craiglist posting i had. amazing how so many others have the same thing. they work by numbers just like a sales person. Someone will respond and get scammed. It wont be me.

I also got an email with this phone number from this scammer. It read:

I recieved the same message on Craigslist....

I got the same message.  I'd like to report it, but I'm not sure how.  Does anyone know how to tag this as a scam in Craigslist?

I got the same  message with identical spacing errors and misspellings in response to an item I have for sale. You can report the e-mail to google-see this web link from google.

what is the scam...i got the same email and have read several others post about it, but what is there goal...

I called 765-523-2844 at 4AM and woke some lady up. I hope it was one of the spammers and not some poor dupe. Not the kind of karmic justice I'd wish for these people, but good enough to make me slightly satisfied.

I just received an email from MARY SMITH.... Its a huge scam!!! Thank God I decided to Google the name and number!!!

Yes I received an e-mail request to buy my car, which I posted on Craigslist.  Nolanwillis4@gmail.com.  It was so stupid.  Nolan whats to buy my car as a gift for is father and he will pay me thru paypal.  He did not mention how much to buy the car.  Who would buy a car without seeing it or test drive the car.  He said will set-up for delivery pick-up.  The whole thing was so stupid.  Anyway I would like to set-up these SOB's Fraud Scamers.  I should ask them to meet me at a Police Station or Somewhere I can shot them myself.  Therefore teaching them a lesson.

Do not waste your time reporting these scams.  All they do is change their names and e-mail address left and right.  Read my posting below.  The only way is to set them up and then shoot them for all the people they scammed $$$.  All the inter net agency do not care ex: gmail; craigslist; yahoo, etc.  The law enforcement agency also do not care.  If you are stupid on giving information and money.  Then you deserve to be taken.  It should not be this way, but I think my method is the best.  Just shoot them ourselves.

Okay, same message but the header showed a different email than when I hit REPLY, so I sent it back to both of them to call me.  HA, got an email saying they are hearing impaired so have to use email.  Also, since I own my own business, whenever I have gotten these in the past I tell them I do not use PayPal, but I can run a credit card for their payment thru my business.  I never hear from them again!
