Received a call from someone stating their name is Officer John Peterson and he stated that if I don't pay them I would experience the worst nightmare of my life at work or at home.

Also called from this number with a threatening message ... Said he was officer John Peterson also. Who is this?

I rec'd a call on 3/8/12 from Office John Petterson stating that I needed to contact him for a very senstive matter he stated that there were 4 charges being filed against me, He had my DLnumber, my last 4 digits of my SSnumber, and the address he had was wrong, he stated that they would arrest me at my home within 48 hrs unless I handle the matter either outside or in Court and if I did not comply I would be arrested with 48 hrs, at my home. So I told him to do whatever he needed and I hung up the phone.

Recieved a call also from Officer John Peterson threatening the same information.

Received a msg from the above named person, had the last 4 of my ss # and my employer. Threatening arrest. Tried to return call before looking at this. Went straight to VM.

how do we prevent this from happening again?

they are calling my work and threatening me with severe legal action. They shouldnt be allowed to do this.

Just called this place back and told them to stop calling me and they said F**k You and hung up. I will find out who this is and report it to the Georgia police.

Call your local police department and file a harassment report and they will do something about it. The Jonesboro police department in Georgia will take care of it after they get the paperwork from our local departments.  Or if anyone has an address for these people they can forward it to the right police department in Georgia. When my husband told them they can get in trouble for impersonating an officer, they immediately hung up.

I have recieved a massage stating that it was Jack Austin and officer saying that i had an lawsuit against me if i didnt pay the money that they despoited into my account. I asked him when was the money despoited and he could not give me a date but said that he was going to call my place of work and had me arrested if i didnt send him the money. Then he called with the western union information to a Julie Mallak in Silverlake,MN 55381 then fax him the MTCN number to 1-866-551-2193 then call him at 770-217-1842. this is a scam and everytime he calls me the number comes uo on my caller ID as 526-941-82, he says that hes calling on behalf of Cash Advance USA

This alleged Officer John Peterson called my place of employment and my cell w/all of  my residential info including last 4 of ssn. Very rude, when I picked up on the accent at work I advised that he'd be reported to the BBB and he used vulgar language. Mind you I never confirmed who I was. He called my cell at around 8:48a and my place of employment at 9a.  This is the same guy that called weeks ago under another name stating that a loan was owed, which is untrue.

I also keep receiving these calls at work and my cell phone stating he is an officer and if I don't pay back 3000 dollars to a loan I never hb arrested I just wanna know how too stop these calls

I received a voice mail 04/17/2012 on my cell phone that said this message is for "my name" with a ss# ending in blah, blah, blah. Said his name was Officer Alex Wright and that I needed to call him back immediately because of a financial complaint that had been made against me and that all information was pointing at me as the guilty one or whatever. Also threatening that if I did not contact him I would have some serious consequences at m place of employment and residence. WTF? I have no idea what this person is talking about and it sounded shady, not professional at all and he had an accent like he was from India. I had to listen to the message like 3 times to really understand what he was saying. I don't think an actual police officer would have such broken English especially if his job was to leave people messages. I am so relieved that I found other information about this number. I was starting to think someone had used my info to commit a finacial crime for real.

I received a call from an officer John Marsh at my job today!!  I didn't answer because it was an "unknown" on my caller ID.  He left a voicemail stating that he is with the Federal Crime Investigation Department.  His accent was a cross between Indian and an leprechaun.  I didn't understand half of what he said  He had the last 4 of my SSN and a previous address.  He said if I ignored this matter, then he wishes me luck as the situation unfolds on me...WTF?! He said that I would face some "investigatives" at my doorstep.  I don't appreciate being threatened by this person.  How do I prevent this from happening again?  I don't want anyone harrassing me at work!!  When I called the number back, he answered, "how can I help you?".  I asked, "who is this?", and he replied, "who do you want to talk to?"...that's some shady stuff!!  The line was breaking up, so I just hung up...and he called me back three times when I didn't answer (the caller ID showed 9+-105-269-4182).  I had to turn on the "DO NOT DISTURB" feature on my phone so I could do my work.  I am so annoyed by this!  How do we find out who these jerks are?!?!

I received a call from the same Officer John Marsh with a heavy Indian accent threatening me with court and legal action from my local police if I did not pay 450.00 on a pay day loan.  He knew my address, phone, bank name, and everything.  I am to send him 150.00 by moneygram card on Friday or he refers for legal action.  NOT HAPPENING.  Thankfully, I found this post on Google and know for sure this is a scam....I have NOT done a payday loan.

My daughter in law works for a bank and she said this is a new scam that is running.  Once you send them any money, they move ov.  BUT, if you have done anything on line in regards to payday loans or anything that you have put your info into, somehow these people are gaining access and using that info to call you

I have been receiving calls from this number as well but it shows up as 526-941-82. I can't understand half of what they say and the call I got today he left a message on my voicemail stating he was officer somebody and if he didn't hear from me or my attorney so I would be arrested. He said my name and last four digits of my SS#. Who is this and what do I do to stop it. He has had me scared to death and in tears wondering what this was all about. So I googled this number and found out it is a scam! Thanks for posting this info. Do I need to report it to the police?

Got a call from the same on Saturday, then again on Monday 3 times. I have reported it to the FBI and the Gwinnett Sheriff. I am getting very tired of it.

I have the same story........the gentleman had a very strong foreign accent and said that I owed money for a payday loan. Wen I told him he was wrong he called me an  [***]. They even called my grandmother and harassed her!
