They are a collection agency so they call as early and late as they legally can -- which means you can get calls from them from about 8:30 AM - 8:30 PM.

    They leave cryptic messages like:

"This is Mrs. Williams. I need a call back at this number..."

They never give the name of their company in their voice mails.

yes. very cryptic. so mumbled i couldn't even understand the extension... and he said it twice. funny thing is when I called back - they didn't even have a place to enter an extension... just wait, wait, wait, and never got an answer. guess they don't want to talk to me too bad. I couldn't understand his name either. Guess I understand now why they don't hide their phone number from caller id.

Luckily I have little experience with collection companies. This place called me on behalf of Northside Radiology claiming I owed them money. I told the collector, "All they have to do is submit it to my insurance." The know-it-all claimed Northside did.

Well, a few phone calls later, I *confirmed* they did not and the matter was taken care of by simply filing the claim.

The lady was totally unprofessional and had no interest in hearing the facts. I do own a small business, but would never hire this company. Their total lock of professionalism reflects on their clients.

I just received a call (been getting lots of calls for "previous" owners of my cell phone number lately) and when I answered it, they hung up?! I have better things to do than that!!!

Thanks for the info, "Chris Smith" calls my phone all the time only leaving his name and number.  I didn't think he was a client of mine because he rudely never left a reason why he called.

Wow! I did a search to find out the name of the collection company and didnt realize that this many people were having issues with them. They are representing a claim from Enterprise and when they called all i asked them was that they send me some form of this collection in the mail and they stated that they had. I have been at the same address for over two years and have never had a problem getting my mail. I then asked them to send it again and they kept calling and I never got the letter. This "Chris" person is the rudest that I have ever spoken with or met in my life. Everyone there has the worst attitude and are rude as hell. I have never had a problem with paying something that i owe but when all i am asking is for verification i dont understand why i cant get that, but he actually wanted me to give him my credit card information. I am not stupid as they are.

    Stallings Financial Group
This is my first call from a collector. I never got the original bill due to a wrong address. I corrected the address with Stallings Financial and asked for billing company to send a bill. I needed to see if my insurance company had a copy. (They did not). Caller said my insurance did, started yelling at me. Said he was in business for many years and people expect to have their bills magically paid for them. Said I was going to wish I paid this bill right then because he was going to destroy my credit rating and then I will be begging to pay this bill through him. Very unprofessional.

If you guys know anything about collections then you would know that by law they can't leave anything other then name and number. Collection agencies are not bad its just they have a job to do and people don't understand that.

Dear Mr. Unknown. Regardless of the job duties required, it requires the person doing the job to be professional. Most collection services do not encourage their staff to be professional, just collect the money regardless of the tactics you feel necessary to collect. And by law, they must identify who they are when talking with any party who might ask.

I answered and they asked for my 10 year old son. I told them they had the wrong number.
After reading the above I assume it is in reference to when my son went to the hospital last month and they have not submitted all his insurance yet.
I could not believe they would call for a child about a bill, whether he was the one treated or not.

They are extremely rude. They called my home, would not identify themselves, and asked to speak to my son who at the time of the medical bill ($70) was only 17.  I explained the the rep who I still don't know her name, that he was only 17 and I would take care of the payment, she refused my payment and stated that she could only talk to him. By the way, he was sitting right next to me and could have easily given her permission had she not hung up on me.  I called back to speak with a Supervisor (Danielle) whose attitude was horrible.  She too was extremely rude and when I asked her for her manager's name, she refused.  She told me that the managers do not speak to people "who owe money."  I explained to her that the owner information should be public information. She laughed and said if it is public information, then I should have no problem finding them and hung up, still without payment.

Well you know what? She was right, I had no problems finding them, they are located in Marietta, GA.  Apparently family owned and operated.  The owner Dan Stallings died some time ago and his wife Shirley is now in charge.  I assume Danielle is one of daddy's little girls because their 3 daughters help run the business.

I filed a complaint letter with the FTC.  If you too will file a complaint they can ultimately be fined and if nothing else looked into.

"Please dial 2 to connect this call" and then it hangs up. Internet search said Marietta Collection Agency. That makes sense.. They are probably haveing the computer verify which phone numbers are still valid.

I received a call today from this company on my cell phone.  I got a recording asking me to hold on.  I was finally connected and then cut off.  I have filled my complaint with the FCC just now.  I encourage you to do the same.  Each time you receive an authorized call on your persoal phone that is listed with the DO-NOT-CALL registry.

i got a call from a mrs. williams today..she asked for me by name..when i asked her who was calling, she said mrs. william..i asked her where was she calling from..she wouldn't tell me, but asked for me by name again. I never said that it was me, but I asked her again where she was calling from. She got very rude and refused to give me where she was calling from. Then she said, "you have a nice day" and hung up..My thing with the call is that you're calling me, so if you don't want to give me any information as to where you're calling from, then I don't have to let you know if I am who you're looking for. She was very rude an unprofessional.

I've sent this agency two letters telling them to stop calling me at my house, which they're required to do under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Both were sent by certified mail, so they got it.

Of course this hasn't stopped them from calling me with their pre-recorded "hold on" message every single day.

It's all good though because between those certified letters and the fact they're calling my cell phone (detailed listing of every call on the montly bill) they've all but guaranteed they can never their money in a court case.
