I did not answer it and they did not leave a message - but I am on the no call list and if they call back, i will not hesitate to report them.

This was an organization call Hope House, claimed they were going to have a truck in your neigborhood and wants a closing donation.  Then they ask you for your email address. Sounds Fradulent.

Hope House is a shelter for women suffering from domestic violence. It's not fraudulent. They're website is http://www.hopehouseatl.org.

These so called legitimate morons have called me 13 times and hang up this week. That really puts me in spirit of giving. just because they have TAX ID doesn't mean they are legit, you idiot. wow...

You are an idiot aren't you. if some crook have a web site it's OK for them to keep calling and hang up, huh? I'll follow a legal route with these idiots.

If they are so legit why do they hang up before asking for your donations? Something very fishy here.

After 3 no shows for clothing pick ups, I have done some research of this company "Hope House". While they seem legit and actually want to help people, in the end they do not. They work in conjunction with another donation program called "Nspire" Actually they are the same company. They do have a store front in Lawrenceville GA. again its just a store front. Nspire is said to help the homeless and hope house is said to help battered woman. While they do "help" its not the type of help you think. There have been many many reports of these "organizations" stealing money from the people they help. They put about 10 homeless people in a 2 bedroom apartment and after these homeless find jobs, Nspire and hope house takes all but 50 dollars of their paychecks. 50 dollars is what these people have to live on for weeks. In a 2 bedroom apartment with 9 other strangers. Just for the kicker they also have to pay out of that 50 dollars a portion of rent that Nspire and Hope house set them up in....

Please think before you donate and be my guest to do a litttle research on your own to find all this out for yourself.

Being on the "No Call List" does NOT pertain to non-profit organizations seeking donations.  I too am constantly getting calls asking for donations.  The key thing to keep in mind is that once you've donated to one organization, it seems they sell or share your "sucker" status with everyone else.  This doesn't speak well of the non-profit community at all.

I also noticed that in their website they have a video of silly stuff instead of a video of the people they have helped.  They also have their receipt, their receipt for donations online, so anyone can download and print, crazy and nowhere this receipt or in any other part of the site says it is an approved 501(c)(3) by the IRS.  So nope, not good enough.  Anyways it is not good to accept any deals from anyone who calls you uninvited.

This is the Hope House. They are a local ATL charity group that picks up clothing, etc. They are harmless and if you get to talk to them, they will take you off their list.

Hmm. I'll investigate more. We've often had Nspire pick up at our house and they've always shown up.

Caller ID says "Hope House".  I don't care if it is a charity.  They are invading my personal space! I have told them to stop calling. They STILL call my home many different times during the morning/day/evening.  Just because they are a "charity" does not give them any right to invade any  home. I work odd hours and sleep odd hours. I will NEVER give to this so called charity because they continue to harass me!

Hope house and Nspire are a non-profit organization. I was actually in their homeless program a couple of years ago. They also have a church in the Lawrenceville area. The church and the organization are run by Greg Kennard. The donations that are collected are sold at a thrift store in Duluth. Although some of the money is given to Nspire and Hope House most of the money goes to the owner of the thrift store. The thrift store is not own by Greg Kennard and is not part of the charity. I do not know what percent is given to the charities. All I know is that when I was there we were told repeatedly to not talk about the relationship between the thrift store and the charities. I believe that this could be a good charity butt money has corrupted it.

I was both fortunate and unfortunate enough to give birth to five children at an early age.  And although this was a blessing, it was also a bit of a setback.  I never got to finish high school, but with the help of the Hope house I was able to study and take my GED courses so that I can study radiology.  The Hope house is real and it does bring hope.  Please donate to this charity, their website is http://www.hopehouseatl.org

I was hoping that God would provide me with aplace that could help me get my life back on track.  I've tried so many different things to help me get out of homelessness but Nspire outreach was the only one that made sense.  Gregg Kennard and tNspire outreach are doing a great thing! This charity is doing AMAZING things for women that have suffered domestic abuse!  In fact, they are currently housing several families with children!  Please support this charity.

I can associate with what you have said! They kept calling me over and over again until I finally said I
would get some things together to donate.  I did not have things ready; I had to go Thur my closet, pantries,
anywhere I thought I could find items to donate.  I even put out groceries. I must say I ended up with a right nice supply for them.
They called the night before to make sure I would have the items out. I put them out as requested and guess what?  The next day; there sat the items for donations. I called them and was told that the items would be picked up that day!
Next day; same thing; there sat the items for donations!!!! This has gone on for a week!! I have made calls and sent e-mails every day at least once! I was told every time I talked with some one that the items would be
picked up that day!!
I was lied to over and over again. Never have had I a charity to flat out lie to me like this.
During the week this was going on, it rained several times and my husband would try to keep the items covered with tarps. Well, all did not stay dry!  Several good pieces were ruined as well as groceries that I had to throw out!  What a waste for the charity and for me!  I lost money!
I will never donate to this charity again!!!! Never Ever!
