Receive calls all hours of the day and night.  Will not identify theirselves and ask for social securtiy to verify who they are talking to.

I got a call from this number.  When I answered, a machine asked if I was ___________ .  I just hung up.  Then, I dialed the number, and they say they were something like CONVERGER. They asked for my social security number.  I asked why, and who they were.  The person told me you have something here with us....But they knew my name.  I am scared.  I did not give them any of my private information.

Convergent is a collection agency. I refused the social check but told them to mail anything they had to me with the original debtor info to the last known address.  I received the letter a few days and it was for Verizon who bought out Alltel a few years ago. Since I did have Alltel I called them back and they stated I disconnected to early and had a termination fee. Legit business.

I just got a new number 3 days ago and very few have it. This number just called, sits there silent and then hangs up. Can't possibly be anyone I know. How irritating !

Calls from 770-870-1060 are from a valid debt collector.  I usually ignore calls I don't recognize, but on 9/2/2015 I was expecting a call from a local number for the first time.  I answered  the call and the caller stated that they were calling on behalf of a utility company I recognized; one with whom I've had a dispute with for several years.   The caller asked for the last four digits of SSN and I refuse to share it.  The caller indicated that since she could not verify my identity, she would note that on the record. I suppose you can answer and not cooperate and that will end some of the calls.  I still opt to ignore nearly all calls I don't recognize.

Keeps calling no message

The individuals from this number keep harassing me constantly. They refuse to identify themselves unless I give them personal information. I refused and they continue to call. I do not anyone from this number nor have I done business with someone from this number.
How can I get them to stop calling?

I received a call from this number. the caller id was listed as unavailable.  I did not answer it. they did not leave a message

This number called me at 8:10 a.m. Did not answer. I don't have any unpaid debts, so if this is a debt collector, they called the wrong person.

This number just rang me and when I said "hello" they were silent and I said "hello" twice and there was only silence. So I hung up and phoned the number back and they answered as "convergent".  They were asking for a name of someone who used to own my cell phone number. I explained they had the wrong number and the person they were asking for no longer owned my number. They said they would remove my number from their records. I think they have odd phone habits to dial people and put us to all this trouble.

CONVERGER. DO NOT GIVE THEN YOUR social security number.

Don't Give any debt collector money or information. Your debt is with original person. Sometimes you can settle. Also companies have to report if you pay something on acct. Debt collector wants the whole thing, then they report it as paid
