caller says "you must call me immediately" and says he's from Hannah and associates"  Call who for what? He doesn't say. They have called and left messages but I don't know who they are so I don't answer

The first time someone called, no one answered when I said hello, so I paused, the said goodbye.  Not more than 2 minutes & the same call came in, mind you this is on my cell phone, & finally asked if I was who I am & I told her that it depended on who was asking.  She proceeded by saying "You are now being sued."  Then she hung up.  She never identified who she was, who she was calling in behalf of, nothing.  I mean, what is this.  I thought there was a law that stipulated the caller must identify who they are w/in 30 seconds.

Had to say HELLO three times before a computer answered and told me I had to call them back. Some law office.

Someone just called looking for my mother.  When I told them that I don't know anyone by that name, they promptly hung up.

Just received a message from this number saying that it was regarding a "personal business matter" and that I need to call "Mr. Butler" back.  The message never said who "Mr. Butler" is or where he's calling from.

This is a phone number from the Law Offices of Fredrick J Hannah, a very unethical bill collecting office located within Georgia that Bank of America (and probably other credit card companies) turns their delinquent claims over to.  They are a law office that is only barred within the State of Georgia and therefore has no jurisdiction in any other state!  They are trying to threaten you into making a payment now, because they get a commission on the money collected for Bank of America and other companies.  They are very rude and have a blatant disreguard for the law in which they claim to uphold!

This creep keeps calling saying that my parents need to call him back immediately.  I know they don't have an account with Bank of America.

Frederick Hanna and Assoc. in April of '06 I paid them $6000 to settle a debt to Bank of America. They never sent the bank any money. Don't pay them [***]! If Bank of America wants the money, deal with them directly! These are scum lawyers.

Started calling looking for person who previously had my phone number.  Since I have received several calls for this person in the past I am pretty used to handling these calls.  The accused me of hiding this person in my house so I got rude, asked them, are you recording me, told me "yes" I said, good, contact the county sherriff at and I gave them the number, ask them to send a deputy to.... gave them my address and look for this person.  They told me that was not the address on their files.  I told them they have 10 minutes to have someone here or I would be calling and charging them with harrassment since I was also recording htem.  They hung up on me but called back 5 minutes later.  This time it was a supervisor demanding to talk to this person again.  I informed him I was recording the call, and then I played back the tape of the last call.  Told him that I was currently on my cell phone with the sheriff's dept and he called me a b**ch and hung up.  I haev received several calls in the past few day but always while we are at work.

I was told to draft them a letter and inform them to stop.  Letter follows:

We are notifying you in writing that your agency has contacted us regarding a debt for Geiger Shaw.  I have advised your employees that Mr. Shaw does not reside at my home and has not has this telephone number since July 2007. However the calls continue.  

Therefore, We are requesting that you cease all communication to our phone number regarding this person’s debt. If you persist in believing that Mr. Shaw is somehow connected with our address and/or phone number, please provide proof of your claim.

You should direct all future correspondence in writing as outlined in the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and to cease all communication with us by telephone.

Lastly, we would like to receive confirmation in writing that you have received this letter and will no longer be contacting us about this other person’s debt, or we will be forced to seek further legal action.  In addition, according to the Florida Bar, Mr. Hanna is not licensed to practice or collect debt in the state of Florida, therefore, any further communication via telephone from your office will be considered harassment and the authorities will be notified and legal action will be taken.

We look forward to you acknowledgement that you have received this notice by April 25, 2008.

They keep calling and asking to call back regarding a personal business matter.  This company has be informed in writing to stop calling but will not listen.  My cell phone numbers were never given to them but yet somehow they got my cell phone number and have answering all out of area and unknown phone numbers due to this.

I agreed to pay Hannah & Associates $500 a month (last payment in May of 08) for four months and then $100 a month after that to clear up a debt with Bank of America. I received a call yesterday by a rude man who told me that he wants to collect the balance "now." He told me that Ms. So and So was no longer with the company and would not have accepted a deal for $100 a month going forward. I laughed in his face, and then he told me I'm being sued, and I better get a lawyer and they will come to my house and take it and everything in it away from me. I called two different times after that to bring up the audio tape of my original call (which they always claim are recorded)back in February of 08, and I have not received a call back yet.

These people are desperate.  They are calling any number in the book with the last name of the debtor.  They are trying scare tactics too.  Oooooh, I'm scared.   The person they want doesn't even live at my humber!

I was notified by Frederick J Hanna law firm by letter about a BOA account that I do have on July 3 2008. I am currently in a debt solution program that is working with me to help with this account. A cease and desist letter was sent to them in May but to this date they are still calling me almost daily. I answered the call the first time not knowing who was calling. Mr. Campbell stated my name,address, and ssn and wanted to verify if this was right. I did not know who he was(no company or any other information was mentioned.)I refused to verify, he then stated he was recording the call and that I must be getting information from another source. I requested he put all his request in writing and hung up. Since that day I am called daily and let it go to voicemail. The calls are from Mr. Campbell, Mr. Butler(a prerecorded message with my name inserted)and Lynn Hagen. Is there any way to stop these people. I have reported them to the FDCPA each time they call. I am in Virginia.

These people called and this ia a new number, no one should have it.

I also have gotten collection calls from Dr Frederick Hann at the same number and uip to two collection letters, I shredded the first one but I kept the second one. But I didn't even wanted to look at thwem, I knew it was bad. I am also having financial issues trying to pay the FIA Card Services, but I have now turned to a debt solution program too. Thankfully Dr Hann has not called me or sent me anymore collection letters no more, especially I'm around 1200 miles northeast in the Boston Area, which they have no jurisdiction over. All of you that have a debtco. need to figure it out...they cant stop a legal binding contract you sing with anyone. If you go to litigation with Hanna, they will sue, i didnt think they could..but evidently they have co counsil. I had signed up with freedom financial, they told me to ignore all collections attempts and refer them to freedom financial. i now have a court date, and they told me i was aware they cant represent me in court.

We received a letter from this "lawfirm", Frederick Hanna and Associates regarding an unknown debt.  After speaking to them, they said it was for Bank of America, an account that my husband closed 15 years ago in college...He had paid it off, closed the card, it never went to collections, etc...When we contacted the "law" office, they proceeded to tell us that we were being sued by BOA.  Concerned, we contacted BOA and they notified us that we have NO accounts or outstanding actions with them.  We decided to ignore the letter and two days after we called them, this number shows up on caller ID on a phone that is unlisted and rarely used. NO ONE has his number except for our child's school and his grandparents.  Now the phone is ringing all day and night- from 0700-2100.  I'm angry and when I try to explain to the person on the other line that there is a mistake-they completely ignore me and repeatedly ask how I'd like to make a payment. Ridiculous!  We've never had problems with our bills and I don't know where this is coming from. I'm more upset that they now have our private number- how in the world did they get it!?
