Some lady wanting to talk to the person in charge of our phone.  Told them it was handled by Corporate in Ohio, she hung up.   Called the number back to have our number removed and it was a line to let me know I had won a Cruise ... WTF???   Darn scammers !

Said he was from Advantage phone company.  Said he ws informing me about new FCC regulations...blah, blah, blah....It is not a sales call, blah, blah, blah...scammer....rude....  Seriously.  If you are supposedly not selling anything why contact me?  I hate liars and scammers.

call came to my business line - caller disconnected  when I answered so I dialed back from caller ID so I know I didn't enter the number incorrectly.  I received a recording that my annonymous caller rejection had been activated!!  I was able to deactive using *87.

Received a call on a company business line.  I asked some questions to determine what line number and carrier they were calling for.  They asked for the person who handles the phones and I said I was.  It was Operator 2002 on a caller id of CHIGOZNO6.  
This lady offered a discount to our long distance and then wanted information to confirm the deal.  I asked her to give me her name and number, I would call my carrier and present long distance provider and then call her back and she hung up the phone.
The name Advantage came up.  I tried dialing this number back, but I get a busy signal.
IT IS A SCAM NO DOUBT.  Last week our organization experienced someone disconnecting some of our lines and I am suspicious  that these scam artists have hit us before now.

We just got this call too.  Very rude person.  We are calling our local phone company to report them.

Had a call from this number at 12:19 today (EDT) but when I picked up no-one was there.

Caller posing to be our long distance carrier, informing us of rates going down. Sounded like a scam. When I challenged her, she got indignant saying she was required by FCC to notify us, and then tried to confirm our billing number. She said her company was Advantage and they were the carrier for my local company Century Link. I told her she was full of bologna and called Century Link. Rep told me it was a slammer trying to change us over to their long distance. Very deceiving tactics. SCAM!

Claimed to be from Centrury Link.  Claimed was not a sales call.  When I gave a time limit to identify why they were callling they hung up.  Added to my blocked caller list.

This number is a scam .......   5/14/13 Received a call from 773-321-2119, Lady named Lorie with Preferred contracted with ATT. She stated that they are contracted to help us get better rates for our phone service. 5/20/13 I contacted ATT and asked if they could tell me who "Preferred" is. The gentleman stated to me that they are not contracted with ATT and it is a totally different company trying to change your long distance service. Therefore this is "Preferred's" way of scamming you into changing your long distance.

Just got a call from this 773-321-2119.  It just showed the number on the caller ID and not a name of a company.  They asked to speak to the person in charge of our AT&T account.  I told them they weren't available but I could take a message and give it to them.  They said no that's ok we'll call back later.

It seems strange that someone affiliated with AT&T wouldn't leave a message.  If you are a legitimate company with legitimate business to be had then why would you not want someone to call you back or stay in contact with the provider you are trying to reach.  This is the second time a scam call has come to us from someone who was "affiliated" with AT&T.  I contacted AT&T on the first call we got and they informed me that this was a scam and there were many scams out there that are playing off of the changes AT&T is making i.e. changing everyone to U-Verse.  They also told me that they would be the only ones who ever contacted us about anything related to changing services, etc.  I would suggest calling your current provider and asking them questions and become as educated as possible before making a choice.  If the people who contacted you are rude to you because you want to do that then why would you want to do business with them anyways.
