I did as well at 8:48pm CST. I did some research - it's a landline from Chicago, the carrier is RCN .. they are a cable/internet/telephone service. I have a feeling it's a political solicitation of some sort.

They are trying to sell 5 day cruises for $197.00 "but you have to book with your credit card right now" (yeah right).

This number called me 8:24pm CST. Did not answer, but voicemail picked up and it was static for 2 mins.

You must be thinking of ACN*. They are the cable/internet/telephone provider based out of Chicago. I used to get my service through them, and once visited their HQ there. Wasn't a bad service, but I don't think this phone number came from them. They don't cold call.

Got a call from this number about some cruise garbage. I notified them not to call, and an effeminate man called back four times to harass me. I don't even live anywhere near Illinois. I've worked for a telemarketing co. before, and the reaction to someone saying "Do not call" is NOT to repeatedly call them back to impose your will on them. This has scam written all over it.

He called back from a number 847-235-3541. If you want to speak to a human (albeit sub-human filth), call that number.

The same thing happened to me yesterday around 11 AM Chicago time.  2 minutes of what sounded like someone pocket-dialing me while riding a train.

Multiple calls, either no answer or hangs up when answered. Does not leave message.

I do not want any calls from them.

And  get mad when you ask them if they are a telemarket rep. When you tell them NO they say most peopole jump on it..

These sleazeballs called me. I am forwarding this number to Homeland Security, and reporting this number as a terrorist activity. I thought this was a call from Atlanta, then a voice started telling me I had won a cruise in a contest. I know I had not entered any contests and I hung up. I am more than tired of these calls, as they are running up my cell phone bill. Again, I report these numbers to the FTC web site, and nothing is being done. That is why I am now reporting these numbers to Homeland Security. Maybe I can get some action to stop these calls by these turd eating monsters.
