I tried to call also--- after a few seconds, the call just hangs up.
The message itself is so threatening.. I think I'm going to  call my brother--which is a lawyer and see if he can find out something.

I got 13 calls from this number within a 10 minute time frame.  They stated that a warrant had been issued for my arrest.  They would never tell me what for though

I and my fiancé have received numerous voicemails from this number and other numbers stating that they needed us to contact them or our attorney or they feel sorry for us if we don't.  The say they are calling from an attorney's office but don't give the name of the attorney's office.  They always give random names like, John Smith, Mark Lawson, etc..they are all Indian or something so that is definitely not their names.  It is a scam..they want you to call and then get a prepaid card to pay them for something that you actually never owed.  

These jerks are complete [***] and make threats there's no legal way to back up. Should be shut down by the authorities. Sorry if I've got any friends in the 773 area code - you've now been blocked.

I keep getting calls from this number saying I owe them money and need lawyer and they will not stop calling .what can I do they keep yelling threating I am so tierd of this. The number is 773) 770-4817

Hi. A Mark Lawson keeps harassing me over and over about someone coming to my apartment and he scares me.

No-one will turn up. It's just a scam. Ignore them.

Same thing's been happening to me, (John Smith from the attorney's office). They threatened to call my employer and tell them what I did. What did I do? - Nothing! So I just blocked the number.

Got a call from Brian Sherpherd (I asked him to spell his name for me) from Chicago Law Firm, at my place of employment. 773-770-4817. Said I had a loan from cashnet usa and the funds weren't in the bank to pay for it. This is totally false.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.
