Got my first call ever from this number ever: First National Collection. I've never heard of them, & never received anything. She said it was a collection for a Finger Hut account. I told her it's not a legitimate bill, & was about to explain that my ID was stolen years ago, & that this bill was part of that, but she cut me off. So I asked her to provide proof of the original bill. She said that was my responsibility, & the only way to get it now was to pull my credit report myself & if I hadn't done that w/in the 3 yr (WA) time limit I was SOL (proving she knows they're breaking the law). She ended by telling me to explain it to a judge. Nice.

Got a call from this number just 20 minutes after a call from 877-569-6998. Interesting that both seem to be related to FingerHut - I get their junk mail, but I've never ordered a thing!

I don't have a Fingerhut Account and never did.  I believe it's AACC an illegal and unethical collection agency located in Michigan.  They will hound you to death and it's on extremely old old accounts from 7 to 20 years old sometime 30 years ago.  When I don't know who it is I'll answer phone but don't talk I place it by the TV speaker.  If I'm not home it goes to voice mail.

If this is AACC, they'll use various names.  Examples are Oxford Mangement, Bravia Comm LLC, they are sneaky and use illegal practices all the time.  They are trying to collect an old ioold bill that I paid off several years ago.  When I told them it was billed long long ago, they called me a lair.  They also said that I have to keep all my old bills and never shred them.  In Constuition of United States, it says I can shred all bills if over 7 years old.  It never has been amended.  So they are breaking the law.

Additional Comment:  Since the original call, they've called me incessantly. When I asked for proof, again, I was told I had to obtain it myself from my credit report, & if I hadn't w/in the 3 yr. (WA SOL) period it was my problem.  They further claim they've sent me numerous letters when I've received nothing.  As far as I know, American Gal is right, they're breaking numerous laws & know they are.  The problem is they can report whatever they want to the credit reporting agencies & it becomes our responsibility to have it removed. It's nothing short of extortion.  I really think we need a law requiring the reporting agencies (Equifax, etc.) to require proof that a bill is legitimate before it can be added to a credit report. Does anyone agree or have another solution?

thank you for the above information. at 11:31am i received a call from a Richards B 231-732-2830. at precisely 11:51am received a call from 775-412-4499 caller ID said unavailable. it is the policy of this household that we do not answer the phone unless we know who is calling so i did not answer the phone either time. i was unable to look up the first number online so i will assume they are connected. the voicemail indicated one message in the voicemail...it was the caller hanging up.

I'm glad to get this information. They have started calling my work number, but I do not know why. I don't answer calls from unknown numbers, and I don't talk to underhanded creditors that buy outdated or otherwise settled bills.

This number has called for the 4th or 5th day in a row- it's ridiculous- I never answer- and they leave blank voicemails- It is a NV numberfrom AT&T, I tried to look it up on whitepages.  Is it the same company or wat?  Maybe I'll answer next time and tell them wat the deal is :)

Here's an update.  Nothing was ever said, I never answered the call but they are a collection agency that assumed illegal collections for AACC.  I had gotten a letter from them about being sued.  There is NO court date, and it goes on stating it's to my best interest to pay this immediately for 1/2 the price owed and I don't owe any bills.  It doesn't say anything about who the monies is owed to.

These two collection agencies are trying to collect on debts that I paid years ago and than I cancelled the master card.  This account is more than 10 years old.  I know this when I talked to AACC to try to clear this matter up.  They will hound you to death and both are calling me over this.  If they keep up I'll change my phone number.  I'm 61 years old and in bad health and on disability.

Got a call and same as above...Time to make a FTC report. I'd suggest the same for everyone. This will get out of hand.

As an aside beware, I went to a website for Extreme Acai Berry, put in my info and went to the bottom and read it. I, at that point erased all my info in the form and I had a total of 15 calls in a 2 hour period.
Apparently they have a page saver that saves info every 5 minutes or so.
Just an FYI. Even though you erase, they may have a back program running to capture all info.
1-201-621-5694 beware if you see this number.

Keep receiving calls from this number almost every day around 1:00. They never leave a message and I don't answer calls when there is no name on the caller ID.
    It's annoying.

I have been receiving calls from this agency for several years, looking for Mary K. Taylor.  My wife and I have both told them that Mary K. Taylor does not live at at our home.  We have even called them back many times to remind them, but you can never connect with anyone.  Enough is enough.  I will sue if the calls do not stop.

I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize; this was the first time I got a call today (09-30-08).  After reading all the comments, I guess I expect to get a lot more calls.  But I am sure gonna send them a formal letter telling them to take my number off their file immediately.  I'll copy the FTC on the letter, too.

I recommend that ANY communication to ANY of these collection agencies be COPIED to the FTC so they will see just what kind of crap we are suffering.
