I tried dialing the number, can't get through.  They called in middle of the night but I let it ring.  No message.  Ever since I signed up for the Do Not Call list I get more calls than ever.  Am going to go outside and scream now.

These hacker programs will keep dialing random numbers trying to get into your cable modem/telephone system. Once they get by, they have all your call logs, what time of day your home,log texted msgs,Find your location and IP addy,get credit card,  Soc Sec info,bank info,and then since your Internet provider has a 3 to 1 access, meaing you get your cable TV, Ineternet Computer Access, and your telephone line through a single modem, it will then move into your TV and computer. It is highly likely that your caller is already in you computer network/home. You will find an EXE. file or DAT file that says DIAL UP, PhoneSweep, ToneLoc, THC-Scan. So be careful on all phone calls, esp coordless.This type of hacking is prevalent. They can also block important incoming calls(such as future employment opportunities that happened to me). I would seriously buy the book Hacking Exposed 6th Ed by McClure, Scambray, and Kurtz. This book has a huge chapter about Modem-VOIP attacks. Total Scammer
