got a call yesterday...call display said "british columbia",  I answered and all I could hear was people talking in the background, someone said "no" and then they hung up.

9:28 a.m. to answering machine (Edmonton) no message left.

Keeps calling me, no one there if I answer. Annoying!

Received several calls from these guys in last few days, from 3 different 778 area code numbers (BC) and never leave a message.  On callback, same recorded message about "You were called to participate in a survey, but the survey time has expired."

** Scammers ! **

If you answer (and if you get a live person) they will make you take a short "political survey" to provide veneer of respectability, then when you try to claim your "participation prize" they try to get you to give out your credit card number.

Never give out financial information over the phone.

I am sick of these calls!

Had two calls from that number this afternoon. No one on the line

Low Life Vermin Scum - probably unfit to be gainfully employed. I told 'em I don't deal with trash and hung up.

Received a call from this number - some 30 second political survey with a lady's voice named Ann from some political organization. After 3 questions, the survey ended with an instruction to claim the Bahamas prize.

recorded message "This is Ann (thick American accent) calling to do a quick survey about our nations debt crisis" Has called twice in the past week.

Rec'd call at/about 12:45 PM. This message has been reported in the media as a scam -- no vacation but a presure sales pitch for a timeshare.

Two calls this morning.  Offers to remove your number from their calling list by pressing "9".  I did it - it will be interesting to see if the calls stop or increase.  Scumbags!

This number has been calling me numerous times daily, i first tried waiting for a person with no luck, then I pushed all the wrong buttons for the political survey and it just shut itself down, called me back again this morning and i answered all 3 questions to get a person, when I got the lady telling me I have gotten a free cruise I told her I want them to stop calling me as I have pushed 9 to opt out of the survey every day now, she said she has no way of helping me because I pushed 1 to claim my prize and they dont have any info as to who is doing the poll, WTF.
So I used a few choice words at her and yelled profanities and told her if I get 1 more call I will bring down a world of !@#$ on them.
She hung up and im waiting to hear back soon.

It's the 21st century and the Phone company can't even put a stop to these scammers, how pathetic. I guess the phone company must be making money from them also.

You can expect a high phone bill. Pressing 9 gives them access to make long distance phone calls at your expense. That's what I've been told.

They left no message

Called me at 10:20am on July-23-2012, picked up to an automated voice saying something about me being carefully selected to do a political survey about our nations debt crisis.  I hung up before the automated voice could continue.

This number has been calling me several times per day. VERY ANNOYING. Any way to report this scam to anyone?

4 calls since 3 days!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!

Had several calls from this number, do not answer numbers I do not know, so have had the end of a message saying ".......to remove your number from this list press 9".  Did that, but remembered that pressing nine on my messages just saves the call.   Now I just erase the number each time.    Really annoying.

Some EFF'n "Political Survey"... Pressed "0" a bunch of times and it went to a busy signal.  Called them back and it says "You were called to participate in a survey but the survey time has expired".
HOW DO I STOP THESE FREAKING CALLS?
