Just got a call, said it was for exansion in the lower mainland.  John Kellert from PFS, don't know if I'll call back.

I am going to an unrelated field.

Received a call from Johnathan for a job expansion for PFS. He called from this number 5196456054 which i looked up and it seems like a fraud for TD information.

He got my information from Monster, and said the same with you guys. I told him I have no interest in sales position, and then he gave up to introduce the position with me.

Do you know the name of the company he was calling from?

HI , I got a call recently from this guy johnathon , and he said he was interested in meeting me for an interview. He to found me on monster. Is this a scam ? Do any of you know more about him and should I go to meet him?

The guy I talked to from this number seemed really nice. I don't want to meet him , if this is a scam

I met up with this person, he seems to be a genuine person but I am unsure of the company that he works for. He is a Representative of the Primerica Life Insurance company according to his business card. I found out over the net that such a company exists and its head office is at Ontario. But when he called me for a meeting we met up at a cafe called Bread Garden, not at an office, which was kinda odd. So don't know. I did not take the job bcos I am in the creative industry and he wanted someone in business and also who would be able to talk to the customers. So if anyone is interested you can go meet him. He seemed to be open to questions so you can go ahead and ask him details about the job.

I received a couple of calls from this person, identifying himself as Jonathon Kellert....He did not offer until I asked him what company he is based out of and where!  Primerica, based in Ontario, was his response, and he is looking to expand his business in the lower mainland area.  After my interrogation, I found he is interested in hiring in these areas....customer service, sales, marketing and public relations. I am not 100 percent sure this guy is Legitimate...he offered to tell me the company deals with Financial Management Services but is not Licensed.  Bottom line the job description if you want to call it that is in Sales..

got a call from Jonathan saying he's hiring for part time/ full time positions...no company name mentioned ...sounds fishy to me.

I've got a call from this number from same guy everybody has mentioned in this thread.
Same thing: he works for this company, they want to expand and open new offices in the city where I live, he wants to know if I am interested in helping them.
So i asked for details, such as: company name, what they do and why they think I am a good fit for them. He only gave me the company name that they are a financial services company. As to the question of why he called me, he was very vague about it and when I said that his description of a job that needs to be done is too broad and asked him for specifics, he began to sound a little irritated.
I worked in fraud-prevention for too long not to smell something fishy here, after few more minutes and few more questions from me he went on to wrapping the conversation, because I asked him to send me the information by email and he said that "he does not like sending any information by email" in other words, he wont put anything in writing. Seriously :)

I know a fraud when I see one, I've seen and dealt with too many in my career. Please dont buy into what he says if he calls you.

Got a message from with the same details i.e. works for PFS and wants to expand business. Not talking to him. Smells like a real fraud case.

Just got a call from this guy, he was like is so and so there. I said yes, speaking. It took him a few second to even figure out he was speaking to the right person! I said what industry are you expanding in? He said he "didnt like the way this call was going" and hung up. I said I have every right to ask why you are calling me and what industry you are working in. Stupid goof!

This same dude sent me an email with the following text:

Hello (my name),

I have your resume that you posted on Monster.ca. I'm a manger in charge of expansion for my company here in the lower mainland. I want to see if you are still currently looking for something at this time?

We are a large diversified financial company. Although we are in the financial industry we aren't a bank, and I'm not looking for people with a financial background. Right now we are going through an aggressive expansion phase here in the lower mainland. Our main focus right now is to open new outlets. That is why I wanted to see if you would be open to exploring career possibilities with us here?

If you are open please contact me so that we can discuss further opportunities.

What fishy about this is that my resume on monster has nothing to do with sales or finance... I don't even understand why this dude wants to contact me..

Been playing phone tag with this guy for almost a week. I figured it was not legitimate... darn it, its the only bite I've gotten on my resume!! lol

I got the same information left on my answering machine.  He didn't even mention the company name or the position being offered.  Very sketchy.

Hi I received an email with the same guy, but I think is Primerica wich is a legit company with a catche if you sing up with then is to sell life insurance  mostly; but you have to put down about 200 dollars for the book and the classes to get your licence to sell the insurance and then you go to peoples houses to sell the insurances and is all 100% commission.

Primerica is the company that Jonathan Kellert represents and it has a bad reputation. He is looking to add new people to his group in order to rise up in what is a MLM (multi-level-marketing) scheme. Primerica recruits under trained commission only people to sell insurance. However, you need a license to sell insurance so it's really just a way to get access to you and your friends and relatives so he can sell dubious financial product with heavy commission fees to them.

Stay away from this person.
