QVD  wanted me to take survey, I said I don't take surveys & hung up.

They did the same thing, and wouldn't let me interrupt..

Block this number immediately 779 201-4191!

Here's what I think based on some research I did..... debt collectors use skip tracing to find debtors and one of those techniques is called pretexting.  This is where a skip tracer can be deceitful in representing who they are to get information about the debtor (ie. pretend to be giving a survey or pretend to provide them a grant, etc.).  This way they can find out if the number they have for you is working and it is yours.  Also, don't press any button when they tell you to hit a number on a keypad to be taken off their call list - you could be pressing a number that says you are verifying the debt is yours.  Anyway, it is completely legal for them to do this as long as they do not represent that they are a government official (i.e.  police, courts, etc).  So they get you on the phone, verify your information and pass it on to the debt collectors who then use that information to track you down and find out if you have a job, where you live, your phone numbers, your assets etc, in case they decide you are worth taking to court.

Well I can say you are so very correct on this!! How I know I used to work for a big collection company and these are one of the biggest steps to find someone and i only lasted with this place for 3 months because i could not do some of the cruel things that they want me and others to do trying to collect. I guess i get that some do have hard times and to do the things they want to do is  not right and should not be legal.. for instance if you get a debtor to agree to make a monthly payment to what "THEY say they can do and all we need to do is have them sign an agreement along with there bank info so we can take that so called amount every month yet they don't know by doing this that  the collection company can charge you interest and take that extra amount every month and when they realize this and ask why they say you signed an agreement and now if they don't or close acct it can taken to court and lien put on your assets.. so be aware.... just a little info or warning....

Caller ID said LIFEGIVMOMENTS. I didn't pick up, but there was an automated message that said it was a survey, and they wanted to ask me "four quick questions". The first one before the answering machine hung up on them was "If you have children or grandchildren under the age of 15, do you believe that you should have the freedom to choose what your children and grandchildren watch?"

Maybe something to do with the FCC decision today about Net Neutrality, trying to drum up fake support for it.

Unsolicited call showing Lifegivmoments in the called id.  Didn't answer.

I also was  ask about children, tv choices and freedom to choose what they watch.When I didn't give answer they wanted, I was lectured as to what I should have said.I said I don't need to have words put in my mouth and hung up.

When you get a call from 779-201-4191, just pour bleach on your telephone.  The fumes will go into the phone line and get into the caller ear.  That will hurt so they cannot hear when they use the phone again.

Another way to stop these calls is to unplug your phone and place it in a bathtub full of water.  That way no one can call you when the phone is under water.
