asking money by phone seem fraud! anyway the u of a alumni never will ask money in that way

I keep getting calls from same number too.  Have not answered though.  
Is it a scam?

Its a SCAM!! Not the U of A.
Phishing for credit card numbers.

Yeah, it's a scam.  They hang up immediately after getting your card info.  They didn't have my updated address so I don't think they have access to Beartracks, which is nice to know I guess.

There's a very strong probability this is a scam number. The UofA numbers all look a certain way, and this isn't that. Plus they called me at a very odd time at night on a Sunday.

I want to let you know that calls from this number ARE legitimate calls from the University of Alberta student calling program. We employ student callers to reach out to alumni and update their information, keep them apprised of activities at their alma mater, and to solicit support. Donations may be made via credit card over the phone, or online at www.giving.ualberta.ca, or more information may be requested and sent.

I did not answer this call. Grateful that others have posted information about who this is. The UofA is my employer and this irritates me to no end. Not sure how they got my cell number. I want the solicitation to stop.

Just got off the phone with this a guy on this number, asking for money over the phone, $5.00/mo. or $35.00 one time donation. Very sketchy, I told him I would rather do it in an office in a face to face manner, then he gave me the following address:

Bay Enterprise, 10230, Jasper Ave. Annual fund office.

99.999% chance that it is a scam, so, WATCH OUT!

they're stilllll using this number to call. i'm impressed this site existed - i was sceptical when i googled this number. they've called me every night for a week now, but i guess i'll now know who this is and will answer next time.

That address is at the Faculty of Extension for the U of A so actually that makes it's LESS likely to be a scam.

I've had to block this number not because they were intrusive, but because for some reason whenever I pick up starting a couple months ago, there is no answer, just silence. I give it about 10 seconds, but it's like the call isn't connecting. I don't know what the issue or solution is unfortunately.
