- Phishing Is No PhunI received a phone call from 780-392-0160 at work. The person on the other end said they were with this company and that they were representing my bank. They asked me if I recognized three separate internet donations I had made with my bank card, each on a certain date and in the exact amounts given. I thought they might be with the fraud alert department and verified each amount. They thanked me for my time and we hung up. Then it dawned on me that this could be fraudulent, so I called my bank to verify this type of call. I even called back the same number on the caller ID, and they said they have no knowledge of representing my bank...? I had to close out my bank card and have a new one reissued, etc. Someone, somehow is phishing for info and has illegal access to internet bank card transactions, and is calling out from this number.
- Caller: Telus International
- scam?Got a call from 780-392-0160, didn't answer, lady with poor english left voicemail about my Dell laptop order and that my visa card was declined. She also knew my name. I have not ordered a laptop from anyone. Sounds like a scam to me.

- TonySaid they were from Sears. And tried to give me a discount on a TV. But the sad thing is, i went to sears a week before and checked out a tv, and the Associate there sent a e-mail to me with the information on the tv i was interested in. So somehow theses scammers got a hold of those emails.

- JanetIt was a legitimate call for me from Clearly Contacts about a return that I am making.
I am not sure why it said AB since they are based out of BC but it wasn't a scam call. - DawnThis must be some kind of exchange type number.

Legit.- Caller: Jawbone
- wvLady with a bad connection called wanting to confirm my dell purchase and that it was in holding until verified. She then proceeded to tell me 'incase you lose connection from transferring to the verification department please call back at 866-821-0267 which is not one of dells contact numbers listed anywhere. When transferred, the guy on the line was almost confused about what was going on. He asked what was the purpose of my call and I told him I recieved a call saying I needed to verify my computer purchase. He got as far as getting my order number then asked me to wait. His line also had a bad connection and tons of background noise, that led me to think something was wrong and I quickly google'd this number and saw these replies. So I hung up and called dell directly. They said there was no record of them contacting me and there was no need since my order had already been processed. And that if a problem did arise, they would contact me by email first, not phone.
Thanks for the heads up!- Caller: Scammers

- SC| 1 replyCall came in at work. Asked to verify work address. I askedy why. Stated they were confirming for market research. I said we aren't interested and hung up. Call came up as Alberta Call. Seemed fishy. I never like to say yes to anything as it could be a scam just waiting for you to say yes to something you have no clue you are saying yes to.
- RobCall was from Jawbone support for a warranty issue I emailed them about yesterday. Not a telemarketer like I thought
- Caller: Jawbone
