I answered a call this morning from this number, and spoke with a salesperson named Heather.  She gave me a very long and rehearsed sales-pitch for a "Free Gift-Pack", which is allegedly a compilation of gift certificates donated by different Lethbridge, AB businesses.  This gift pack, according to Heather, is a way for Lethbridge businesses to promote themselves to the general public, by offering complimentary services in the hopes of building a customer-base.  

Supposedly worth $1700 in "free Gift Certificates", the cost of one of these packs is $59.95.  

I'm not trying to sell this, and I'm not a representative of the company, but I figure that everyone has a right to know what they might be getting into by answering a call from this number.  I have no idea whether or not it's actually credible, and Heather also mentioned that the current purpose for her call is not an ongoing, constant sales pitch that her company issues, but one of many temporary opportunities, which they are responsible for delivering.

So, if you receive a call from this number, they may be looking to sell you something completely different, and ideally something more locally relevant to you.

Yes this is a coupon book sold for The Lethbridge Shopper and it is legit.  I have purchased them in the past and they do give some great deals.  However, the people calling and selling the books do get carried away with the calling as I personally have had 3-4 calls/day on my home phone and also get them at work.  This isn't a great way to go about selling the books as it creates people to just get angry that they have been called so many times.  The book is great and a really good value though if you are interested so it is a legit sale.

call from Ryan selling coupons for service that don't expire till next September, (oo ahh)  but I thought in Alberta they could never expire and well I was not interested so I hung up.   I never trust these things anyway, and the last coupon book I had, the business in it  wouldn't honour/accept the coupon.  My overall suspicion is scam scam scam.

This number has been calling off and on for a while, but has been calling all morning.  Nobody says anything though, so I just said last time, call again and I'll report you to the police....we'll see what happens.

This number called our home number today and it shows of as "Treasure Chest". No message left. Not sure why an Alberta company would try to sell coupon books in Saskatchewan????

"treasure chest" has phoned me 3 times a day for the last 2 weeks and has never left a message.

This is harassment I don’t care what they are doing/selling they are harassing me.

They just called me, when I answered there was lots of noise on the other end then finally a woman said "hello"  when I said "yes?" the line went dead.  I too am wondering why they are calling to people from out of province- maybe they are hoping with summer coming that we will be passing through?  lol  Yep I am going on holiday with my trusty coupon book!

A business sell a coupon book for charity (?) who don't believe they have to follow the do not call list

Have been getting empty air calls from this number for a week.  We are in Saskatoon.  Very annoying.  Am on the Do No Call list.  Must be someone we can report this company to.

Multiple calls in Grande Prairie nobody on the other end. My number is registerer on the National Do Not Call List but it dosn't help. To help stop these annoying people register a complaint with the CRTC at

This company just called me as well, slightly irritating that a "No thank you, I am not interested" doesn't work any more. She responded with "You don't own a car?"

I said "I own a car but I am not interested in what your selling"
"Oh sir I am not selling anything, i am trying to SAVE YOU MONEY" (condescendingly)

"No thank you"
Then she hung up on me.

Anyways, it was a "1900.00 Savings Gift certificate that is NOT A COUPON" that i would be able to use from March 2013(10 months from now) until March 2014.

This number calls constantly, every other day, when you answer, there is no one on the line.  Fed up with this.

Called 4 times today within 2hrs. and no one on the other end ! Stop this harrassing as the police should
be after this people!!!!!!

Calling me all the way down near Lethbridge.  Three times today and no one there but I can hear talking in the background.
