Received call from a live operator at 8:06 AM on 10/3/2008. I answered the phone and they were looking for me. I asked them who they were and they told me a name. They spoke it so fast that I didn't recognize the name. The name included collection agency. I informed them that since I hadn't received any correspondence from them - I wouldn't talk to them until I did receive correspondence from them. They said "OK." and then hung up. I think I have a permanent "Cease and Desist" all phone calls against them from several years ago.

Same thing.  I didn't recognize the name and they would not say the name of the company they were with when asked. They wanted me to verify my address and name.    When I didn't do that they hung up.

I received a call  from a "Carlos" who began to ask me for personal information. I asked him who was he calling with and he told me "Berlin Wheeler". I asked him what the call was regarding and he informed me that he would need me to verify personal information before he could tell me. I asked him if he would give out his personal information to a stranger that called, his answer was "is your address...." I googled the phone number and found that they are a collection agency.  I have no idea what they were calling about, I have had no mail received from them, nor do I know if maybe, I forgot to pay a bill? But he wouldn't tell me without me giving him personal info!  I wonder how many fall for this and get scammed?

They did the same crap to me just a few seconds again, they even had my ss#. How do thtse people have all thos info to be just asking you lile your being interrogated for beimg who u are. And wouldnt even tell me anything but its a personal matter. So i didnt give them any info he got mad and hung up. Wth?

Called my phone asking for my wife, then I informed them that this was not her number.  Then they started asking me all these questions and where I lived...and I said I wouldn't tell them because I have no clue who they are.

Berlin Wheeler is a collection agency located in Topeka and Wichita.  They do the collections work for large and small agencies, such as Stormont Vail Hospital, Cotton O'Neal Clinic & other medical providers.  I worked in an small doctor's office that used them on a regular basis, when we were unsuccessful in getting people to pay their doctor bills.  They are legit, but their 'bedside manner's' suck.

The head of collection department is Robert Lynn. He goes by a fake name Bob Gamble. All collector working at Berlin Wheeler use fake names.

They called and refused to identify themselves. I told them that manners dictate they *completely* identify themselves, and I don't talk to folks with no manners. Then hung up and blocked them.

Spammers just don't answer your phone people just make sure you have a good call blocker and they go away it's that simple I never know who called or when they called LOL!!!! Phone automatically hangs up on these idiots LOL!!! I love exposing these fools!!! Get a job you idiots I love laughing at you !!! ROFL!!! Hope you see all your phone numbers get blocked haaa haaa haaaa!!! I juat like saying hello to them idiots on these phone numbers so they can understand your wasting your time idiots LOL!!! I never answer you always get busy signals haa haa ahaaaa that has to be a horrible life!!

I received a phone call from 785-271-1000 stating they are calling about a personal matter trying to reach me.  I said who is calling, they said Joyce somebody.  I asked what it was in reference to, and they said a personal matter and gave me a name that isn't mine.  I said what matter? Then another lady jumped in and said until they could verify who they were talking to, she couldn't tell me.  Then they asked if I lived at an address that I do not live at.  I said again, what is it you want? They wouldn't tell me so I told them to take my phone number off their list and not call me again and said GOOD BYE, and the lady just kept talking. So I said GOOD BYE about 5 times loudly then hung up.

I have been called also. The female on the line wanted me to identify myself with address and SS number, I refused and turned the tables and begun asking her questiions....Guess what? She refused to answer any of my questions. Goodbye!

They have only five days after first contact to get you the letter.  Refer FDCPA 809.a and false identification saying they were an Operator, that's 807.14.  That's two so far @$1,000 penalty each.  I bet you owe less then that.  Those SOB's

Berlin-Wheeler phone caller ID.  Left a message on my home vm looking for my ex and then called MY cell minutes after, same number, but just Topeka, KS on my cell caller ID.

I just received a call from this number at 11/8/2017 at 2:07 PM. It came up as Topeka, KS and it was a woman on the line who didn't give her phone and told me the company was called Berlin-Wheeler. She confirmed I was the caller and then asked me about where I lived. Very creepy. Refused to give her my information over the phone until I understood what the call was about. She refused to give any information.

2nd call I got this month in regards to somebody I used to know.  Neither time will they disclose any information as to why they are calling, because I am not the person they are trying to reach.  Each time they said they would remove my number, but would not answer WHY my number would be associated with this person or call.  The scary thing is that I did know this person, and they are not a good person, and I don't know if they used my SSN for something.  All I could get from these people is that they are a collections agency.  They wouldn't say for what.  Nor would they clearly state their name so I could write it down.

Just block their number

They just called looking for my fiancée.  Said I could take a message and they gave me a number to give him and before I could ask what it was in regards to(by this time I had no name of who called) they hung up.

Debt collector. I answered with "HELLO!  You are live, on the air!" They hung up. I have blocked the number.
