Got a message on my cell phone today while at work from this number. Listed to the message they left & it was all a recording & stated they were trying to contact someone & gave an odd name (that I do not know) & stated that they had my-their place of employment & its address & would be contacting them to find out the protocol for being served in a court case regarding check fraud & to call them back & reference the court case number if I wanted to settle out of court. I have no clue what it is about or who this "person" is. When I called them it rang forever & finally went to voice mail & I could swear it said DHL! Anyone else getting these??

My grandma was getting the same calls for my ex fiancé! Who I haven't talked to in 4 years.... anyways they left a message stating they were trying to find this ex of mine for fraud!

Very rude, Asked for written verification of this so called debt and said they couldn't. By law they have to provide written documentation if its real. She then hung up on me so I called back and she was very rude. I Asked what the name of the company was and she said Bassid Oliver located in florida but wouldn't give me there address because they felt threatened? I looked it up and there was no such thing. She is the one who threatened to have me arrested. I don't owe this person nothing. Don't give them any information. This is totally a scam. I reported them.

Call from Tony Miller in regards to my ex husband, check fraud, defrauding a financial institution.  Claimed to have called the human resource department of his employer to serve him with documents. My ex husband is nowhere near a criminal, and is also self employed.  Called them to get more info, they were incredibly rude and danced around who they were and their legitimacy. They also refused to tell me how they got my number, and said they would remove me from their list. I made a statement that it sounded like a [***] scam and they hung up on me.
Called my ex to warn him and he also gots similar call that he also ignored.
I feel bad for those people who get scared and actually fall for this sort of thing.

I'm not sure what type of scam they are running, but I contacted my phone provider and let them know about it. I also called back number on message re:check fraud because they used my sister in law's name in the message. Phone rang first time and I was hung up before anyone answered. Second time woman answered and I told her they had the wrong number she asked my name I gave her my first without thinking and she said they'd remove my number from the list.  Hopefully this is not one of those numbers who use your number to run up out of country phone calls.

Got two phone calls from them, didn't reply the first time because I thought they wouldn't leave another one. They left a second one, and I called back telling them that they definitely had the wrong number. They asked for a "Kimberly Ann Anderson" (I know no one by that name)-- they told me abruptly they would remove my phone number and to have a nice day.

Hopefully I don't get called back.

my son got this call a few weeks ago. he called back as possibility it could have been legit, they didn't answer and they never called back. this morning, my husband gets a call at work, talked to their secretary and then called his cell phone. same thing, TONY MILLER/ YOU ARE BEING OFFICIALLY NOTIFIED, BEING SUED, TAKEN TO COURT FOR CHECK FRAUD, GIVEN A CASE NUMBER, ETC., be home to be served legal documents.. they are a landline in Miami, florida!! we live in the los angeles, ca area.i just called, no answer!!

2nd time in 2 weeks some lawyer or legal assistant or collector or unemployed circus clown called to threaten a "Nicki Adel" with legal action re.: a bounced check.  Interesting they share such damning information with someone, without verifying who owns the phone number.  Actually, as I reminded their dim bulb receptionist, the number they called about has been mine for 7 years.  Can you say, "Incompetents"?  I knew you could.  

Client getting calls with threats re serving court papers etc.  after a few calls back I was told they are collectors for Check & Go.  eventually talked to a "supervisor"  who said that they would take the client off the list.  

This place is a SCAM, these people are getto and rude. They will not tell you who they are, how they got your phone number and claims to be a collection agnecy. The message left on my phone was not even for me. They left that same freaken message on my # for some lady I have no affiliation. They claim to take my # off their calling list. If anyone needs the case # it was CR3872.

My Ex-husband's brother is Steven K. so I called back, concerned that the ex-brother in law was scamming me too, they just removed my number. This is the third call from different phone numbers all calling my office direct line trying to locate the same Steven K.

I recieved the same call as every one else. It was for my husband. Bad thing is I decided to check because we did owe 4c check in go's I got sick an  couldn't pay back. I had 3 different so called lawyers call me last Oct. I made payment arrangements, only 1 was legit I guess because the other 2 have disconnected there phones now.I had one I paid over 700 to an I just got a call from another when I started to look into it come to find out the one I paid 700 to was legit but never called cash advance to report I had paid so lady month I had another law firm call me started playing again.

Same scam message

Called me on my cell today at work (and several times in the past), left a message for someone named "Emily" for civil charges on a check fraud. I've been using this number for more than 5 years, not sure how often wireless providers recycle them or if they do at all. Unless this "Emily "person made up a number which happened to be mine and did whatever she had to do, I can only imagine that these calls are for scam.

What kind of scam that doesn't ask for anything. I think its a nut that gets a jolt from trying to frighten people.

I have been getting calls like this for over 2 years. They always threaten but nobody has ever knocked on my door or come to my work. Sometimes they are looking for my wife or someone I don't know. At first I thought they might be legit but then I thought about what they were accusing us of and then I knew they were BS. They are trying to steal  money from innocent people. Does anyone know what I can do to get them to stop?

I just received the same call, have NO idea what this is all about.
