I received a robocall from (786) 358-5691 at 5:08 PM July 5, 2011.  Caller ID identified the caller as PROMTN MTR WCA, a company with which I have never done business.  The recorded message said, "Congratulations! You have been selected to receive a free laptop computer."  I hung up at that point because as my grandfather often reminded me, "if a thing sounds too good to be true, it probably is."  Have you any knowledge of this caller and if yes, is PROMTN MTR WCA a real company?

Might be a Tax collector or a scamer with an offer of free gift cards to get account numbers.

I have received two calls from this same number and got the same company name as you did after I looked up the number. I am going to let them keep calling and get the phone records everyday and when I have the right amount of calls I want then then  them in. Once I started getting these calls. I put my cell phone on the do not call list. Hit them in the wallet and hopefully they will stop calling.

Spam Caller

A person tried to say my name and  said he was from Medicare.  I said I don't think so and hung up the phone.
