Since it wasn't here yet, and I have been getting atleast 1 strange call per weekend I did some digging.

I never made a bet online through a sportsbook site, so I have no clue how they got me.

I think this is right. I signed up to take a look at beating odds and now they have my number... It is Bookmaker.

Not only I have never used them but the guy on the phone when question was rude, hateful and disrespectful

Received call from this number.  A man asked for me by name and then hung up.

This number has called my cell. I answered "Hello" twice, there was no response and then the caller hung up. This seemed very strange to me -- why would a telemarketer or whoever go to the trouble of finding my number, call my cell, and hang up? Furthermore, why not block the caller ID? Doesn't make any sense.

Got a call from this number and they even asked if this was Carolyn?  When I said yes, they hung up??????????????

got this call and I was too late to answer, but did *69 and this was the number. No message left.

I keep getting calls too, and I just called bookmaker and let them have it.  We are on the do not call list too.  If you go to the FTC site, the complaint form is really easy and fast to fill out....please do this so we can get these creeps!

got this call on a sunday ,no leaa-- did not get to answer-- but family reports same number calls from a food bank in fl--a for-profit food bank! stop already

Same number just called me a few minutes ago.  The guy said my name, I said yes and he hung up.  I registered with the "Do not call" list months ago.

this people keep calling me and wont identify themselves.  unable to call them back

They called me but I was unable to pick up, tried calling back, no answer. This is nothing but a pain and hassle, and I too am on the do not call list.

Just received a call from the same number.  Filed a complaint with the donotcall.gov website and it said that I can not file a complaint because the number was registered on 7/29/08 and they have the right to call me for 30 days.  If I receive a call after 30 days then I can file a complaint.

I went to the Do not call complaint web site and filed a complaint.  Here is the response I got after filing.

"The phone number 786-522-1040 was registered on July 29, 2008. Companies may call you for up to 31 days after that date. You may file a complaint if a company calls you after August 29, 2008.

Note: If your area code has recently been changed and you receive the message "Grace period has not expired" when you attempt to file a complaint, submit your complaint under your old area code.

Since I knew which site I just registered on, I went to their chat and informed them that I didn't want calls from that number. Also, I filed a Do Not Call request.

So I'll see whether or not there are any more calls within the 30 day grace period.
