I'd noticed that my balance on PAYG was going down in large chunks so I contacted O2. It seems that 78881 & 78889 have been involved. I was told to reply with STOP (in caps). I've done this and received the reply that the service was not working at present but I still lost about £4.50 for that call.

    Hi
I have noticed that on my orange bill the 78881 is itemised with multimedia message sent and received next to it? Does anyone know what this means and if they have been charged £2.55 for the priviledge? And what can we do to get rid of it please?

My daughter also downloaded what she thought was free, but there has been lots of charges coming in from 78881 & 78889. This is a disgrace.....These such companies should not be allowed to do this.

this phone number is habbo.co.uk it clearly states that it is £3 a text message for 25 'credits' which you can spend on habbo. although i do not go on habbo, it has still text me and i have been billed £200 which isnt good. now i have to use my birthday money to pay it back. i didnt want these credits and i didnt text this number. i text STOP to 78881, and it replied: 'FreeMsg: You have successfully deactivated your Badoo SuperPowers. For help: support_en@corp.badoo.com' i do not understand this at all.. help ?

Its from Habbo hotel. If you're being charged from this number and didn't know it, then somebody is using your phone to buy in-game money called "credits". 78881 is NOT a subscription service.

My son had a phone bill one month for £85 and the next month was £140 !!! hence to say we were not happy - phoned Orange and they were really helpful - the cash guzzling numbers of 78660 & 85002 are the same gaming company you can CALL AND CANCELL them on 0870 0427 150, MAKE SURE you call from a land line (otherwise you will be charged by the minute from your mobile).  The other cash guzzling number of 78110 is a company called ecko box and you CAN CANCELL them by phoning 0870 737 0030, again make sure you phone from a landline (otherwise you will be charged by the minute from your mobile) ******** PLUS******** when you phone them from your landline you can prove you have phoned and threaten them that you are logging the cancellation call and if they don't cancell you will contact their ombidsman "phone pay plus" thier telephone number is 0800 500 212, and they will investigate - DID YOU KNOW that every time they get investigated by the ombidsman they are charged, so this is why they don't like them !!!!! hope this helps everyone xx

DONT call numbers of youtube or text a FAKE QUIZ or anything its a wast
of money! DO play for free and if you want free credits go on coppie site
or 'RETROS' like rage hotel or force or flex heresa link :)
