The number 0018000135333 calls my mobile a few times per day, I cant answer it as i'm in work, i've tried to call the number back to find out who they are but it's just an answer machine not saying who they are just that they will call again. (I wish they wouldn't!)

I have recieved numerous calls from this number over the last two weeks but until today they have always hung up when I answered, I didn't call back for obvious reasons.  When I answered today I actually managed to speak to someone, a female by the name of Mai.  Mai said she was calling from Virgin Media and proceeded to try and obtain various details from me, she was clearly trying to trick me into giving information. Mai started by confirming my name and that I had standard broadband and tv with Virgin Media (this was incorrect), when I said she was wrong she asked me what services I did have.  I didn't answer any of her questions as it seemed dodgy from the start so I don't know what the scam is.  My guess is that she was going to offer me a very good deal on an upgraded package and then ask for my bank or other personal details.  Mai also said she was calling from Virgin Media in Manilla but when I asked for their address she said she had forgotten it!

I called Virgin Media to advise them and they confirmed the call had nothing to do with them.

This number has just tried to call me and hung up aswell!

I get the calls from this number all the time!  I don't even answer it now, there is always a voice message but no one speaks - really dodgy!

One missed call from this number @ 15:00ish. I tried to call it back but it says i will be charged at international rates!! I tried calling from the work phone, but they don't accept calls from private numbers. Hmmm...

I got a call from this number today but didn't answer. They didn't leave a message. Very strange, and I used to be a Virgin Media customer too.

Basically when you call them back you get charged, i dont believe ppl fall for this one, oldest trick in the book.

got a call from this number at 10:30Pm i missed it as was asleep tried to cll back following day was warned i'd get charged at international rates then i got an engaged signal.??? will i get charged if so how much??

This number has been harassing me for a few months now. Same story as other comments. Once I did get to speak to someone and they asked me about my VM account.
Does anyone know anything else about this? Has anyone got onto VM about it?

I also got a call from this number. I am also with Virgin Media. Usually I just tell them to F*** Off but my 17-year daughter who calls me Daddy Bear thinks that it's rude, so I politely told this lot not to call me again.

Also just got a call from this number today, ignored it as I didn't recognize the number, and they left a nice long blank (with talking in the background like a call centre) answer phone message. Weirdos.

they've jus rang me and i answered, to be greeted by a woman with a mid-atlantic accent (long delay on the line also).  she asked me to confirm i was a broadband customer (which i am) and then gave me my home address (which was correct). she then proceeded to tell me about a money-saving offer of 3 services for £20, which i said i wasnt interested in.  

she didnt ask me for any personal information, and said goodbye when i said i wasnt interested.  

I think you guys are just worrying unneccessarily, it's just a call centre ringing up to offer a deal!!

No idea what's happening here, had missed calls starting the 22jan, 24, 28, 29 and this morning 30jan again, all around 8-10am. Don't know who they are, definitely not going to call back as I am residing in the USA now (moved from the UK in October). Tried from work phone but doesn't get though. Don't know how they got my number but it is a bit suspicious that I did call Virgin media about a week ago to ask them why they were still taking money from my account. (I canceled my services in September)

I had a call from this number yesterday (26/03/08) and i tried to call back but got a message everytime saying there was an error. I am a virgin media customer also. I would imagine it is a cold call trying to sell products, but i couldn't be sure. I have never received such a call before.

I had a call form this number today at 1200, i 1471 to get the number but became sus at the prefix. i belive these calls originate form outside the UK

Other the past few days I have received missed calls from this number on my mobile and checked it out on this website earlier today, and just so happens that I have just received the call from them, and listened to them waffle on about how they can give me a package for a great saving, etc, and then challenged him as to why he was calling and basically couldn't get off the phone quick enough. Don't take any notice of them and tell them if you ever get a call from them again then you will report them to OFCOM!

Same just happened to me - Answered and no-one spoke, three times today. Came online to research the area code and came across this site. Thanks for your help! I know what to tell them now.

Well ive had 4 calls from them in as many days, all around 12:00-12:30. i missed the first 2 which ment i had to clear there messages from my answerphone costing me money. On the third i spoke to them and told them i wasnt interested. They knew my address and internet package and were asking who I was with for my home phone.

Then today they call again I answer ready to give them both barrels and I get the recorded virgin woman saying they wanted to talk to me but there had been an error.!!!


Grrrr. Im guessing i will get one tomorrow too
