A recording tells me that my automobile warranty is about to expire and I should contact them immediately. I press "1" and get a live person who wants to know my name and other personal information. I don't respond to the question and instead ask who this caller is representing; the caller immediately hangs up.

'final' courtesy call on some bs car warranty. Says enter '3' to be removed from the list. I always take that to mean that they know they have a live person on teh other end rather than the signal to remove you. (i.e. they will keep calling or sell the live # to someone else).

I just got a call.  I didn't answer but I looked it up instead (as I do with most numbers I don't recognize)
They are still working at this scam.  It's amazing.  I've looked at a couple of other pages about this number and most people who contact this company get hung up on.  I wonder how they are making any money.

This same number (800)111-1126, called my cell phone.  How did they obtain my cell number?

Yeah, these SOBs have called me 3 times over several days to my NEW Verizon phone number...  And I do mean NEW.  I had Verizon give me a recently purchased prefix or whatever it is...  Seriously what the hell.  I asked the person (after pressing 1) what this "auto warranty" was about.  Lo and behold he said it is a warranty plan for any vehicle under 160k miles.  My response was "So this is a solicitation."  Guess what?  The f**ker hung up.

I would spend my time more exciting stuff.

We too just received this call on our answering machine - call not call it back as it states it is disconnected.
