Got a call from "no name", told me to call someone at this number.  I have no idea what it is about, I'm not going to call it until they tell me what it is.  Why do they call, and not tell you what it's about?  To me it sounds like they really don't care then.

They called me at work, but must not have had my direct extension because the ID was coming through the operator.  They also just said they needed me to call them back and gave their number, with no further information.  They were very short and abrupt and did not sound very friendly, which makes me not want to return the call.  I would also like to know what "bill" they are referring to so that I can be prepared.  I don't like blindly calling someone.

Called and acted like I knew her, she said please call me back as soon as you can....We'll I cant unless you give me some info on why I need to call you back!

I won't answer a call if I don't know who it is.  This "person" keeps calling me and will leave only a message to call her back.  No other information.  I'm not about to call back without further information and identification

I dont think they get it that unless they leave more information they will not get a call back.  It is very easy now a days to get information on these calls.

I know I owe money for my medical bills but I have already made arrangements to pay them.

So far I have only received one call from this number Sept 30th, 2009 at 1:45pm CST.

Tell them them you just got a new cell, you are not the person they're calling about and do not call this number again as it is on the federal don not call list.

They collect on unpaid medical bills

Got a call from 800-207-6153. Guy just said his name is Cory Carlson, I think that's a B**S** name. He said this is regarding a personal business matter. Well, my number is on the federal DO NOT CALL LIST. How do you stop these people from calling.

I dont know, pay your bills?

But you don't have to pay your bills. If you don't answer any form of communication for 7 years they cannot go after you anymore.

They called looking for my son.

She would not identify herself or tell me what it was in regards to.  Just said that it was personal.

Got a call from them and he new my social security number.  Told me I owed a medical bill debt on a 2006 charge.  I had previously gotten a letter from them for the amount he said, but, most of it is in dispute because the clinic didn't code 3 invoices correctly - would be paid by my insurance and medicare as secondary if they did.  He said he would send a letter and I told him it had to me detailed, not just a balance.  I pay all my medical bill balance with my tax refund annually, therefore a six year old debt is moot. He warned me that the debt will still be outstanding and will reflect on my credit score.  I told him I didn't care and that I didn't owe the money.  I don't pay debt collection agencies anyway, I only deal with the originator.

The bill they keep calling about is a bill from ProHealth Care, Waukesha Memorial Hospital.
The bill was paid in full by Anthem Blue Cross, back in 2004.  
Yes it is 10 years old.
I have it disputed on my Credit Report, but after talking with the Credit Union and Consumer Credit Counseling Service, my only option to get it off my report is to pay the bill.  I will keep faxing them the EOP from Blue Cross stating I do not have a balance.
I find that the Credit Bureau do not have any integrity either.  I have showed the bill is paid, but it never comes off my credit report.

after a certain amount of years they should not be collecting on an acct. there is a statute of limitations.
