- ReneeTo the "employee". You sound bitter for sure, but the reason I even googled BB&T's collection # is because they owe ME money! So don't act like companies never mess up. BB&T is saying that I owe them for something that I have already paid, and I have the proof. They are not calling me, but I did get an incorrect letter. This is from several years ago, and I have a "good", steady job, pay my bills on time, and work for a law firm. So if they don't get their act together they may be getting sued. I mean get real, just because you work for a company doesn't mean they never make a mistake. I remember when I needed my tax info. from BB&T and I had to go to THREE branches before I got help, because even the bank mangaers were confused...and NO it wasn't complicated at all. I had an IRA, and needed my information (which I had never recieved prior), and they made it seem like brain surgery. And let's not forget the time they couldn't get my change of address straight (and I did it TWICE)...send my bank card to an address in GA. BUT with all that said they are better than most banks...but NOT faultless, and after this last thing...with me "owing them"...I may have to switch.

- JOE JOEI called BB & T directly and they tell me they got HACKED and this is a SCAM as I have no account with them
They were unwilling to do anything as they claim they are not involved with the scammers. - B R WainstrathI was almost convinced into believing my BB&T account was in arrear. After calling my bank it became apparent diane sampson, or justin, or bob, were not going to give me the specifics of my actual bank account info since they didnt know but they were positive "I owed them money.". They were more interested in creating a situation with threats of foreclosure of my property with BB&T and they would renegotiate a new term Loss Mitigation of my property. We have just a few more payments (3) and we are done after 14 years. I called my bank and they had no clue why they would call me about foreclosure and renegotiating a loss mitigation process when we would be done in 3 payments.
