- AMSThis "so called" Motor Vehicle Protection Corporation out of New Jersey, is calling people and being very insistent to sell you an extended warranty. They have a Parent company called Vemeco out of Texas. The ladies names I collected were Amy Ross, Melissa M. and Anita, although they all sounded the same to me. They called my elderly mother-in-law and took advantage of a woman whom doesn't EVEN OWN A VEHICLE! They were very pushy with her making her believe the vehicle she drives on occasion was in extreme danger if the warranty was not extended. The vehicle actually belongs to her son. They would not let her look into it. They convinced her to give her bank info and then consult with her son. Stating they would not make a transaction for two to three business days. I called the customer care number back and had my mother-in-law have them revoke her commitment and asked for a confirmation#, which they would not offer. Please warn other people.

- GloriaMy dear, forgetful, 82 year old father was conned by these people! Thank you to AMS (who wrote on 2/19/08)for your information. They charged his credit card for 3 months in a row for $113.64 - indicating a WARRANTY-UPV3863. If I called the 800 number - it was always a recording; and I could never get a live person to talk to. We are disputing the charges with VISA and should get a refund. Please warn your elderly friends, who seem to be their targets.
- c volnerPushie sales for something you don't need. avoid at all costs
- Janet AdkinsI actually agreed to purchase their warranty and then immediately called my cousin who has serviced Mercedes for many years. He advised me to put the money in the bank for repairs instead of trusting a warranty. When I called to cancel the agreement, she was very hateful and told me that she would not cancel it until I told her word for word what my cousin said. Only when I strongly insisted, did she agree to cancel. Now, this morning, I am concerned that they still might draft my checking account today; and I will have to go through all that trouble.

- BMHThis was the most rude company I have every had call my home. After asking a number of questions did the second service representative state "Have a good day paying off your car repairs...CLICK." She hung up on me.
The original representative I talked with made it sound as though they already had coverage of my engine and transmission and they were offering to cover even more with extending my warranty. How can you extend a warranty if I do not even have on?
Terrible company! Be on the look out!- Caller: Motor Vehicle Protection Corporation
- EvangelinaI purchased the warranty and then having second thoughts about it, I called two of my local dealers. They had never heard of Motor Vehicle Protection Corporation. So I called the Corporation back and after 3 tries my call was answered by a rude woman upset that they did not know who they were and I insisted on cancelling. She finally said it was cancelled and told me "Good luck in the future paying your car repairs!" and hung up. Just stick to purchasing a warranty with a dealer is my advice. Don't be a fool like me!

- Senior CitizenBe alert about this number. They are impostors. They've got no warranty for you. Their specialty is to get old people as victims. Their so-called warranty is a scam. I was one of the victims and now am trying to fight to get my money back.
Miami, FL - Concerned SonThese people called my 80-year-okd mother yesterday to say her car was in serious danger of being out of warranty and she faced all sorts of dangers if she didn't sign up for a new warranty. She asked repeatedly for more time to think and research but the salesman told her she needed to decide right then. She reluctantly gave her banking information, then had second thoughts and tried to withdraw her order. She was transferred to a second, even more insistent representative, who told her the company had already entered her information and could not do anything about it. My mother sheepishly called me later to report her bad judgment and I didn't have the heart to say she's now aged into the "victim class." Is there some sort of law enforcement agency that can grab these crooks?

- Stay at home mom.Second call from this woman in the last month. Started out something like," Hi, I am calling from the Motor Vehicle Protection... to extend the warrenty on your car." The first thing she did was ask how many miles are on the vehicle. I had the feeling that this would be the first of many personal questions, so I asked her some. The only things that she would tell me was that she got my phone # from the company computer from the vin#. Both times that she called and I asked for her phone # I was told that the company doesn't have a phone line as everything is done through the computer. I had told her that my husband takes care of the vehicles and asked for a way to contact them, like an e-mail address or postal address. She immediately hung up. A month ago when I found out that they were in New Jersey I told her that I was registered on the National do not call list and needed to be removed from her list. When I asked for the name and phone # of her company she got upset said some rude things and hung up. It sounded like a fraudulent company to me so I googled the name to see what I could learn about it. Good to see that others are concerned, too.

- CindiMy husband fell for this scam about a month ago. Upon recieving the paperwork/payment coupons I knew we were in trouble.About 80% of the information about our vechicle was wrong, vin number, mileage, etc. so in turn following their requirements for cancelling this contract was going to be a useless waste of time. The intial deposit was paid on our credit card and the remainder to be paid on a monthly basis with a payment coupon by mail.Long story short DO NOT deal with this scam business, they even told my husband that they were affliated with Chrysler Corporation! I had to close our credit card account and open a new account to stop them from charging the future monthly payments on it considering we will not be paying them anything.
What a headache. I wish there was something that could be done about businesses like this. - RMBYes I'm being harrassed by them now. I called the police and said without a phone# he can't do anything. If all of you couldn't stop it or get them to answer I don't think the police will. My next move is to go to Federal Trade Commission online and fill out a report. I have a dog whistle that I blew until they hung up. I called there 800# and I'm letting the phone sit hooked up to run their phone bill up. As long as my phone is being used to call them they can't call me.

- PeterThese people just called me and I'm on the National Do Not Call list! When I asked for the phone number for the company he said he didn't have a number to give me. When I tried to tell him he was in violation of federal law, he hung up on me. BTW, the federal law states: "A person or entity making a telephone solicitation must provide the called party with the name of the individual caller, the name of the person or entity on whose behalf the call is being made, and a telephone number or address at which the person or entity may be contacted."

- RJI received call from Motor Vehicle Corp on 3/31/09. Even though I insisted that I do not handle all this and my husband is not available. She started persuing me to make decision as my warranty was expiring and I can be in trouble. I was almost sold to her points before I realised not to give her any details. This is very annoying and hope that this matter can be handled legally.
Thanks to all for starting this thread.- Caller: Motor Vehicle Corp

- in WisconsinI was just called by people at Motor Vehicle Protection....she went into a spiel; when I asked why they were calling when I didn't want the service, she said "How would I know that?" I explained, that I didn't want the service because I DIDN'T SIGN UP FOR IT. She told me I should go back to bed and get more sleep so I wouldn't be a B*tch! That's going to make me want to purchase something for you, folks!

- SaraPerhaps all the negativity is from reading into everyone else's bad experiences. MVP has paid all my services several times. Stop confusing them with other solicitations that change their name over and over again, like some known others Dealer services, is not a dealer, US Fidel the new one, is just an old one under a NEW name, with a fancy TV commercial, you cant go back to a DEALERSHIP to purchase a warranty on a used vehicle, pay attention to what they say, and it makes sense, why on earth would a DEALERSHIP warranty a 10 year old car with 100k on it? Be realistic and happy you can still get warranty, I got a new engine and my car is A+++ perfect! Sure beat the $4000.00 bill without my MOTOR VEHICLE PROTECTION WARRANTY!
