    confused
This company called my brother in law looking for our number.  I am confused because I have no clue what this is about and it goes to a voicemail with no identification.  Who could this be?  I am not aware of any debts I owe.

They are Allied Interstate, a "collection agency" that, according to other web sites I have visited, not only use such harrassment tactics to obtain contact information, but credit card information. Watch out!

Same thing happened to me!  I called them back and they said they were looking for my SISTER.  They said they were Allied Interstate.  There is no reason she would list MY phone as her contact.  So I refused to give them information of any kind and told them so.

JUST A REMINDER....DON'T EVER GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ANYONE!  I wouldn't even confirm or deny an address when he recited one for me.

Received call. Left message to call this number 1-800-258-8074.  Called back.  Answered as Allied Interstate.  Did not give information.  Allied stated they were looking for someone named Casandra.  Could not make out last name.

    The call came from 253-218-3451.
The only thing on the answering machine was this 800 number....no other words.
I have received two of these calls, the second had the 800 number and then said a representative will assist you.

I have gotten theses calls every day this week.  The caller does not identify who they are calling for or what it is in regards to they just request I call them back at 800-258-8074.  I know I have stellar credit.  It cannot be related to DEBT I have.

Thanks to all you kind people doing these posts, I'm not going to call them back.  It does tick me off that they insist on continuing to call.  Anyone know how to stop them?  Anyone ask an investigative reporter to look into it??

Its a scam.  They called for my under age son today.  When questioned, they would not provide information as to why they were calling.  They got very defensive and hung up!  Cowards!

They called me yesterday, but I wasn't able to answer it because I was busy. However, they called me again today, and this time I was able to answer. They were looking for someone, but they themselves said if they had the wrong number and I said yes. Than they said, the number will be remove from the system and I won't be getting any calls anymore. I was curious of who they were and I called back and a female answered and informed me that they were Allied LA Interstate. She informed me that they are looking for someone and she gave me the same name that the other caller had asked for. I informed her that he doesn't live here and she said I got to stop calling them than because my number was put in a system were it takes 48 hours to be deleted and if that's going to take place than I got to stop calling. Therefore, I believe just telling them they have the wrong number should be enough and don't. By the way, when you call them or if they call you, remember this, your being recorded! So watch out for what you say.

    Really?
Called.  Asked for hubs.  Wouldn't say what they were calling about other than the name "Allied Interstate".  Asked me to confirm I was wife, then to confirm address.  At address I refused, I won't give out info until I know who you are.  At that point they got snarky and said they'd call back.  I said "don't".  Not sure if that will take care of it or not.

I know we don't have the stellar credit all the paragons reporting before me claim, but there isn't anything that should have been referred on to someone else.  And no excuse for their attitude.  Wish I could just block them!

Have received numerous calls from this number.  They never leave a message.  I finally called them back and they were asking for someone named "Veronica" - not even close to me or anyone I even know.  I told them to quit calling me.  They said they would remove from number from their list but it would take 48 hours?  Why?  In any event, if they call again, I will have to take further action.   Andy they also inform you when you are on hold that you are being recorded, so be careful what you say.

I get a call severl times a week from 1-800-258-8074 asking me to call that very same number back but it gives no discriptive information as to who they are or what they want. Both times I have attemtped to call the number back I got a message from the same recorded voice saying that I called after hours and to call back. I called once at a little before 4 pm and once at a little before 6 pm. I would think at around 4 pm they would be open but whatever. If this is a collection agency then they are calling for the wrong person because my mother and I have both gotten our credit reports several times in the last few years and we don't owe any money to anyone. We have worked very hard to make sure of that. I don't know how to make these calls stop. I read online that the number belongs to Allied Interstate or some nonsense like that so I went to the site and sent an email stating what was going on and asked them to stop calling me as the calls were bordering in harassment. I don't know if it will work but I'm sick of these calls! Anyways why does this company feel the need to be so shady and why do they feel the need to have so many different phone numbers and handle these calls as they do?

I get a recording that it is  collection agancy and are wanting to collect a debt and want me to call them back.  I don't owe anything so I'm not calling them back.  On 4/3/2012 they called at 11:11 p.m..  and got us out of bed.

    unhappy!
We started getting calls from this company, for what I think was a debt another agency tried to collect for.  The scary thing is that the previous company reported to it the credit agencies- and it wastn' even our debt!  The person had the same name but not the same address.  Allied seems to have the last 4 of the ssn which I don't like, I wouldn't confirm/deny but I know they've linked the wrong info together.  We have a lawyer sending letters  bc they marked our credit and it is false.  Not sure how they could do that legally, it actually may cost us a real estate property we are trying to buy when we had perfect credit. These agencies should be regulated.

It's a scam according to the local states's attornery general office. One thing was something about it being illegal to leave messages like that.

This is a scam, same voice on the holding message spoke to me. Criminals. either she was cold calling saying that some made up name owed a debt, or more likely trolling for idiots who provide information to strangers over the phone.
