I got a call from this number. It was a guy trying to sell a home security system. At least I think it was a guy but I also got the impression I was talking to a VERY smart computer.....he shouldn't too damn cheerful. The giveaway was no pauses in his sentences to check to see if you were trying to speak yourself. Good try though. Oh, I've just had my phone activated for about three days now and from day one I'm getting a flood of telemarketer calls about home security systems....this is crazy!

I have been getting calls from these people too. I pick up the phone and either someone says they are from ADT Home security system or they just hang up. I thought when you said put me on the no call list that was supposed to stop the calls.

This is one of two numbers that is relentlessly calling me since I got home phone though Windstream less than a week ago. I haven't even picked it up. I'm so tired of this stuff....it should be illegal!

Our new phone was set up and within 2 days--it started----I got me a phone where I can block calls--this number--8002960885-caller ID shows up as unavailable!!!!!

Ever since I switched to a new provider (PhonePower.com), I've been getting multiple calls from this number.

I am grateful for PhonePowers number blocking system, however I'm not happy that my number is being shared, sold or distributed without my permission. It is not ethical for companies to share or sell or distribute your info without your expressed permission.

Why the FCC / DTC has allowed such impropriety to take place for so long is beyond my understanding but none the less, underscores a huge problem in the world of telecommunication business practices and how little privacy protection we the consumer really have, despite whatever laws are on the books.

We need tougher standards that are enforced, not just simply used as a means to placate the masses.

It's time we demand REAL ACTION from agencies like the FCC and the DTC. Take back control of your privacy and demand your rights!-------They are yours to demand!

My phone was just activated & I have had several calls from this no. I am also being bombarded with calls from security systems, health benefits, mortgage help & an injury claim grp. This is crazy!

i keep getting calls on my home phone (century link) unlisted number on the do not call list- I've had this number for 5 years but the calls started last week- I answer and it's dead air

ADT Security. Agressive and rude. Although, I put this number on my "blocked calls" list, last night,  they still managed to call me four times back to back this morning. Calls were within seconds of eachother. I did not pick up the calls. In the last few days, since I've had my new phone number, they have been calling me at least twice a day after, I've expressed to them that I was not interested in what they had to offer and asked them to remove me from their call list.

These people calling are pests, and our government is apparently afraid to get after them.

I just had my landline activated one week today and a flood of calls here too. 800-296-0885 one of a handful of numbers. I have registered my new number with the DO NOT CALL website. I have decided to set my voice mail message to reflect that I have registered with the do not call dot gov site and kindly request all telemarketers remove my number from their lists and refrain from further contact.  I have all my incoming calls logged so I have the numbers, times and dates.

Wow!  Everybody the same thing.  New activation and bam we all get calls from these folks.  I haven.t even made one call out and my phone log has like 20 calls in the last 3 days.
